This AANAPISI week, we wanted to highlight some faculty that help make our AANHPI Initiatives programs and AAPI curriculum at Cal Poly Pomona possible! 👩🏽‍🏫🏫Meet our EWS partners: Dr. Jocelyn Pacleb and Dr. Marimas Hosan Mostiller! They teach courses like 📗EWS 1401: Intro to Ethnic Studies, 📘EWS 2041: Asian American Historical Experience, and 📙EWS 4040: Contemporary Asian Pacific Islander American Studies. Last Spring, EWS planned a service- learning Alternative Spring Break in Hawai’i 🌺.

The Office of Interdisciplinary Ethnic Studies is now accepting submissions for our upcoming collaborative zine.

The theme for our very first issue is "Collective Healing." We want to know what collective healing means to you and how you interpret it. We are accepting poems, artwork, photography, or short stories.

Submissions end October 10, 2026. Please note that the deadline is subject to change based on submission volume.
