A meteorite of desire, plummeting through the Irish zeitgeist. Great face for radio. Big shot on the east coast. Badman from early.

Rhythm Clash Lineup 💥Executive Steve💥

Executive Steve has the voice of an angel, the snake-hipped charm of a ballroom dancer, the soft and uncalloused hands of a kept man and the cold hard stare of a contract killer. Known to take the occasional sip of sherry, he enjoys long walks by the beach, quiet nights in, and all of the finer things in life. He is wanted by police in more countries than he can name, he is a supporter of hopeless causes and a lover of hopeless cases, a fearless ace pilot, a revolutionary, a noted wit, raconteur, and citizen of the world. Women want him, men want to BE him. Executive Steve likes his basslines low, his strings sampled and his beats broken. When the Holy Spirit moves him there is nothing he cannot achieve. The walls of Jericho turn to finest dust when he cues up a record. He has played in London, Berlin, Paris, Gdansk, and he will NOT stop until has has played all 32 counties of Ireland.

Went to see Tricky and got papped with two living legends and personal heroes - DJ Mek and Aoife Nic Canna. Hip Hop, House music, electronic music, the craft of playing records, the sense and taste to know what to play, to who and how, I do not care who you are but if you're Irish and you're in this thing you're a footnote to what these two achieved and they've likely seen you come and go. by @executivesteve

A legend of the game @executivesteve

Few names have been as synonymous with Jungle and Drum & Bass music in Ireland this past twenty years as Executive Steve’s. Cutting his teeth in a variety of venues during the mid 2000’s through warmup slots for legendary crews like Bassbin, he become a resident at Bodytonic’s prestigious MUD night, all while running his own party Tribe alongside his friend and musical brother Bonz. A label of their own - Ancient Ways - and the rave reviews of its only release brought a spate of well-received Irish festival appearances in its wake, as well as performances in Poland, France, Germany, Canada, Croatia and the UK. While his promoting days are mostly behind him he is a well known face in the booth, having shared it, his needles, his whiskey and occasionally the mic alongside practically every household name in the community of tasteful Jungle and Drum & Bass music, as well as plenty more from outside of it.

After nearly seventeen years as the host of the long-running An Fuaim show on Raidió Na Life 106.4FM he can also reasonably legitimately claim to be one of the most enduring voices in Irish electronic music radio, as well as being the figurehead of one of the longest running Drum & Bass FM radio shows in the world. He has appeared in several documentaries about electronic music in Ireland including “Underestimated” and “Notes on Rave in Dublin”, and alongside his MC duties for the Irish Soundsystem Gathering he has participated in panel discussions on politics and protest in electronic music culture, electronic music history and urban renewal at events like the Make A Move Festival, Body & Soul, and the Limerick Spring.

Solidarity with the Yamamori Izakaya massive in their battles against the Hoxton. Setting up shop in the middle of a busy nightlife street and running fo Court to complain about the noise is the most contempible act of shithousery I can imagine and we must not take this lying down. by @executivesteve

B2B #5 - Tonight, @ulstersportsclub

@stu_undadog & @executivesteve

These men make it all look easy, with a combined knowledge that would make even the most seasoned heads struggle to keep up.

A B2B that I've wanted to hear since we started AMEN, and that's quite some time ago now.

An education and masterclass is what I'm projecting.

Ticket link in bio, although can pay on door if need be.
We got you covered. 😉

See you on the floor xxx taken in Ulster Sports Club by @executivesteve

Big cru ting @ulstersportsclub on the 21st of November.

Our first time in the main room, so we thought it would be fun to get a whole bag of heads together for a B2B session all night long. Soundclash vibe. 🔊🔊🔊

Headling the night are two of my favourite heads on the island, extremely excited to hear what they have in store for us. I would imagine these two have forgotten more tunes than we even know, so we're in for a treat.

Bringing in bass reinforcement too, as always. Will be some steam. 🥵🥵

Also, big ups @sp0rcizia for the artwork as always. Killlllller.

Hope to see you all on the floor xx taken in Ulster Sports Club by @executivesteve

Arguably the hardest working man in Irish Drum & Bass but if he treated it like a job he’d most likely get sacked.
