Hi! I’m Eva Grace, but lots of people call me EG!🧘‍♀️🧘‍♀️

This weekend, I have the honor and privilege of graduating from @embodhiyogastudios as a 200 HR Registered Yoga Teacher!!! This certification through Yoga Alliance qualifies me to teach yoga all over the world. I have learned from the absolute best @yoga.gracie for the past ten weeks, and alongside the best 6 women that God knew I needed!

In full transparency, I used to hate yoga. My brain would never stop long enough for me to enjoy being on the mat. After a long recovery from hip surgery in August, I needed a form of low impact movement to get me out of that space of physical discomfort. I decided to give it a try again and (with the help of some meds too to quiet the noise lol) fell in love with the way I could fully show up as every bit of the EG I was that day, healing from the outside in. The studio became a place that I could challenge my physical strength, but also become more patient and gracious towards others and myself. When I learned to let go of what the pose “should” look like, I felt more comfortable trying the things that felt terrifying. Wanting to deepen my practice and find out what it would look like to share it, I embarked on this ten week training that wraps up on Sunday. I am exhausted, but it was every bit of what I needed in this phase of life.

In the fall, I will begin my Doctor of Physical Therapy program in Nashville, & I am so excited to intertwine all of the ways movement has changed my life. The world makes you feel like to have quality movement you have to be wearing a matching $150 workout set & be what society labels as “skinny enough”. To be blunt- that is bullshit!!!! Our bodies are incredible & so resilient, therefore movement is a privilege and a gift, and I am excited to walk alongside you the next few years through all of this newness. Join me as I learn more about modifying movement to make it more accessible, anatomy of the human body, teaching yoga, and more.
