We reveal the project that Stefano Mirabella will bring to Trieste and the official cover of the TRAVEL volume! ๐Ÿ“–โœˆ๏ธ We are delighted to share two exciting announcements for TRAVEL: An Atlas of Stories, Places and Faces, the international photography call by Exhibit Around APS, a project that explores travel as an experience of discovery, encounter and transformation. First of all, we are pleased to announce that the official cover of the TRAVEL photobook will feature "I Spy Lady Liberty" by Andrea Klausner. ๐Ÿ“ธ Congratulations to Andrea on having her image selected as the official cover of TRAVEL!๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ˜Ž We are also thrilled to announce that our special guest, Stefano Mirabella, will present his project Istanbul at Trieste Photo Days 2026, where it will be exhibited and published in the TRAVEL photobook. Stefano Mirabella | @stefanomirabella is one of the leading figures in contemporary Italian documentary and street photography, with a career spanning social reportage and international photographic projects. With Istanbul, Mirabella portrays a complex city in constant transformation, one that resists any definitive interpretation. Every journey reshapes his perspective and enriches a project that continues to evolve over time. Rather than offering a finished narrative, the work seeks to establish a profound dialogue with a metropolis made of light, gestures and silence. The photographs explore everyday life beyond tourist clicheฬs, focusing on details, encounters and fleeting moments. Important NEWS for Mythography VI: ๐‚๐ก๐ซ๐ข๐ฌ๐ญ๐จ๐ฉ๐ก๐ž๐ซ ๐Œ๐จ๐ซ๐ซ๐ข๐ฌ joins the project as a ๐’๐ฉ๐ž๐œ๐ข๐š๐ฅ ๐†๐ฎ๐ž๐ฌ๐ญ and the official ๐œ๐จ๐ฏ๐ž๐ซ of the sixth volume has been revealed. ๐Ÿ“–๐Ÿ˜Ž Mythography VI is honoured to welcome an exceptional guest: Christopher Morris | @christopher_morris_vii , one of the most authoritative and influential voices in international photography over the past four decades. A founding member of VII Photo Agency and a longtime contract photographer for TIME Magazine, Morris has documented nearly 30 international conflicts and covered the U.S. presidencies of George W. Bush and Barack Obama as a member of the White House press pool. "Power Structures" is the project Morris developed for Mythography VI: a triptych exploring three dimensions, conflict, beauty and politics, through a visual approach that is both radical and coherent.โœจ The project will be exhibited at Magazzino 26 during the @triestephotodays Festival 2026 (22โ€“25 October) and published in the sixth volume. Their photographs will be on display at Magazzino 26 from 23 October to 8 November alongside works by Mark Power and Christopher Morris during Trieste Photo Days 2026. Overshoot, is an international photography exhibition exploring climate change and its impact on landscapes, communities, and everyday life. The title refers to the crossing of the 1.5ยฐC threshold of global average temperature increase above pre-industrial levels, the limit set by the 2015 Paris Agreement. La Forma del Calore Il caldo si misura in gradi, ma si vive nei luoghi. La Forma del Calore mette in dialogo dati scientifici, immagini ed esperienza del cambiamento climatico in Friuli Venezia Giulia, con uno sguardo sulle ondate di calore: periodi persistenti di caldo anomalo che incidono su sonno, lavoro, spostamenti e uso degli spazi. Le elaborazioni grafiche partono dai dataset di ARPA FVG, con il supporto scientifico del DEAMS โ€“ Dipartimento di Scienze Economiche, Aziendali, Matematiche e Statistiche dell'Universitaฬ€ degli Studi di Trieste. Grazie alle visualizzazioni, dati complessi diventano leggibili anche a un pubblico non esperto: chiunque puoฬ€ vedere come cambiano le temperature in regione, senza competenze tecniche. Alle visualizzazioni si affiancano le fotografie di Heataly, progetto di Filippo Ferraro sulle trasformazioni dell'Italia nella crisi climatica. La selezione friulana usa l'acqua come lente per mettere a fuoco il cambiamento: dalle montagne, dove ghiacciai e neve perdono progressivamente il loro stato solido, alla pianura segnata da alluvioni sempre piuฬ€ estreme e frequenti; dal Carso, dove la siccitaฬ€ aumenta il rischio di incendi, fino alle acque di un golfo sempre piuฬ€ caldo. Dati e fotografie si completano: i primi misurano il fenomeno, le seconde ne mostrano le tracce sul territorio. Il risultato eฬ€ un percorso che permette a tutti di riconoscere, nei luoghi che abitiamo ogni giorno, la forma che il calore sta assumendo. The 2026 edition, titled "A Journey Beyond the Visible," invites participants to move beyond the mere documentation of reality and embrace a more intimate, conceptual dimension. Alongside the major exhibiton at Mercato Coperto, we are pleased to present the two honourable mentions: The Time Dreamed by Umberto Verdoliva | @uverdoliva and heim by Markus Born | @markusborn.photo. ๐“๐ก๐ž ๐“๐ข๐ฆ๐ž ๐ƒ๐ซ๐ž๐š๐ฆ๐ž๐ ๐›๐ฒ ๐”๐ฆ๐›๐ž๐ซ๐ญ๐จ ๐•๐ž๐ซ๐๐จ๐ฅ๐ข๐ฏ๐š The project was born from the distance between the time lived and the time longed for. Through transitional places, temporary rooms, and nights lit by artificial light, the author searches for a form of permanence that daily life does not allow: family, affection, and simple gestures are not absences, but fragile, intermittent presences that fully exist only when he is able to stop and truly look at them. Verdoliva has long pursued a path in humanist photography and was named FIAF Author of the Year in Caorle in 2023. ๐ก๐ž๐ข๐ฆ ๐›๐ฒ ๐Œ๐š๐ซ๐ค๐ฎ๐ฌ ๐๐จ๐ซ๐ง A long-term photographic project made while living in and travelling through Germany. The selection presented, nineteen black-and-white photographs, is a considered excerpt from a larger body of work, also intended for a book project planned for 2027. With an approach that combines documentary rigour and compositional research, Born leaves room for chance, building an associative panorama that is dark, attentive, and unsettled, touching on themes such as historical memory, migration, and the relationship with nature. Female Portraits in Dialogue: From Historical to Contemporary Photography is an international open call, in dialogue with the female portraits held in the Fototeca of the Civici Musei di Trieste, exploring female identity through portraiture. The two awarded projects: Huellas by Yinna Higuera | @yinnaphotography and Moving Mountains: Portraits of Contemporary Womanhood by Marylise Vigneau | @marylisevigneau. ๐‡๐ฎ๐ž๐ฅ๐ฅ๐š๐ฌ ๐›๐ฒ ๐˜๐ข๐ง๐ง๐š ๐‡๐ข๐ ๐ฎ๐ž๐ซ๐š A project of great sensitivity and originality, developing a poetic and material relationship between photography, memory and nature through chlorophyll printing on natural leaves. ๐„๐€ ๐‚๐ฎ๐ฉ ๐Ÿ๐ŸŽ๐Ÿ๐Ÿ”: ๐ฐ๐ข๐ง๐ง๐ž๐ซ๐ฌ ๐š๐ง๐ง๐จ๐ฎ๐ง๐œ๐ž๐ After weeks of match-ups and voting, it is time to reveal the winners of the EA Cup 2026, Exhibit Aroundโ€™s knockout photography tournament. Once again this year, the communityโ€™s votes brought photographers and their images head to head, round after round, all the way to the final. The theme of the EA Cup 2026, โ€˜Detailsโ€™, was proposed by Sandro Tedde, runner-up in the previous edition. The tournament winners: Deborah Granieri De Panfilis | @bibigranieri1976 is the winner of the EA Cup 2026 with Burn-out, a photograph that interprets the theme โ€˜Detailsโ€™ with sharp visual intelligence. Alongside the photographic competition, the EA Cup also recognises those who take part in the voting. The title of Best Voter 2026 goes to Annemarie Jung | @annemariejunglux , for her consistent participation throughout the tournament.
