full circle moment …

if you have seen our stories recently, you know our time with the old Queen is coming to an end 🥲 after 1.5 years, we’re ready to try a hybrid lifestyle ✨

back to the full circle moment…. a couple weeks ago we took the motorhome for one last “camping” trip to the beach 💗 there are major parking restrictions in my neighborhood of San Diego so to squeeze in a couple extra days, we stayed at the local campground. funny enough, this was also the place we did our first night of “camping” after buying the motorhome back in 2020! (i say “camping” because its not quite the off grid style of camping we typically do, but is a campground nonetheless!)

we spent our time soaking up the sun, breathing in the salt air, and reflecting on all of the incredible memories & lessons this wild ass journey has gifted us. we progressed in ways we didn’t even know we needed to… gained friends, freedom, so many “firsts”, and even brought back a furry bb 🐾😊

it all feels so surreal. we’re at peace with our decision; but we have definitely shed some tears as we experience our “lasts” and pack up our little home on wheels. she’ll be well loved & in good hands, and so will we. 🥲

things have been changing a lot lately…

back in november we made a pretty big decision. we haven’t shared yet, because its hard to when you barely know what is going on yourself! 🥲

it feels like the right time…. so tomorrow I’ll be on our stories talking about all of it & answering any questions y’all might have!

welcome to our h o m e

we bought our big beauty in september of 2020 in original ‘99 condition, took 6 months to renovate, and now finally getting around to sharing a video of the entire interior at once!

our motorhome is a 1999 Fleetwood Bounder 34J which gives us just under 300sqft of living space!

in this video we’re showing off some of our favorite features like our handmade piano desk, full size fridge & gigantic bedroom closet 🌟 could you travel full time in this “land yacht”?! 🤔

PS - don’t forget to look for Roxy, she made a quick cameo 🐾

happy 2 0 2 2 💫

we hope everyone has enjoyed a peaceful & restful holiday season! ✨ took some time off the gram to reset & lets be honest, get through the holidays! its a fun time of year but it can bring a lot of stress and anxiety too.🥲 3 saturdays in a row - christmas, new years, and coko’s birthday! it’s a lot to manage logistically & emotionally!

we’ve spent a lot of the past 2 months evaluating where we are now and where we want to be later this year 🚌 some lifestyle changes are coming and we’re super stoked to take on new projects and push ourselves farther out of our comfort zones! 🛖 when the time is right we’ll share more, but we look forward to more travel (some abroad), setting down some roots, and spending more time in southern california with the people, places & passions we love! ✨💗

so many creative moments have happened at this table ✨

it truly is the ultimate multi purpose space! we both spend hours playing the keyboard (and singing for me lol), we (sometimes) eat here, and it’s also an art/work desk. all of my shop collections have been published from this spot, from forests and rivers and deserts and lakes. it’s been a place to reconnect to my deepest joys and i am so grateful we really got the most out of this space!

originally it was just a dining table (that came out perpendicular to our current set up) with 4 bulky chairs. this has been so much better for us, and its so nice to have a big space with natural light to work on all of my projects! we’ve been able to each have our own desks because Jacob uses our giant dashboard as his desk/speaker set up (a few posts back on our page!)

we’ve been spending the past few weeks reflecting on this crazy year we’ve spent traveling in the big old Queen 🌟 it’s been some of the most magical and most difficult moments, but all in all, we wouldn’t trade a single moment 🤍

the desert has our hearts 🤍

and we’re so excited for what these next few months in the desert will bring ✨ big changes on the horizon but we couldn’t be more stoked to be moving forward into a new chapter of life 🌞

so much going on we’ve been spending a lot less time on our phones, but just wanted to say HI, we miss all of our instagram friends in this community and hope everyone is having a smooth & safe winter so far 💗

felt like we were on another planet yesterday 🪐

white sands national park really lives up to the hype! we have been staying about 2 hours away, so yesterday we did a chores stopover before heading out! we handled groceries, laundry, & Roxy’s (first??) grooming appt, then drove out just in time to catch the last hour or so of light and an AMAZING sunset ✨ definitely will have more pics to come bc it was absolutely incredible and jaw dropping. highly highly highly recommend this park!!

little Roxy soaking up the sun…

it’s been so much fun getting to know more of her personality as she gets more comfortable in her new home! she’s become so playful and has already learned a handful of new commands and words with us 😊 and, after re-reading over her medical history, we realized she’s THREE! not 4 or 5 like we thought before… and, she’s a Leo ♌️ which makes sense, she’s confident, must be the center of attention & loves the sunshine 🌞

needed this reminder…

this past week was filled with so much anxiety and stress - beyond what was healthy or necessary… it was consuming our thoughts and dictating all of our actions…

never underestimate the healing power of nature. it reminds us over and over again that there are so many seasons in life… it self soothes; the rock causes ripples in the water but eventually it calms back into a glassy surface again. nature is always there for you, she’s never too far away… a breath of fresh air can remove so much clogged up energy we so desperately hold onto in a state of anxiety.

here’s your gentle reminder to go outside today. get some sunshine on your face, feel the wind in your hair… you deserve it. 💗

looking back on this year, so much has changed…

as the reality of winter sets in (hello 5pm darkness) I always find myself reflecting on the year. time flies so quickly, but it seems like we’ve been on the road for a lifetime too!

we’ve been craving stability and the comfort of friends & family! we left California shortly before the vaccine became available to the public… so other than a few weeks at home over the summer, we haven’t spent much time with friends or doing the (public) things we love in YEARS! and although we don’t always want to admit it, we have struggled finding the opportunities to share our art in the places we visit! lots of small towns without bumpin concerts & mural budgets; and not so many big cities. when you grow up in LA/SD it’s easy to forget how small the rest of the world is! thanks to the motorhome, we’ve been reminded of how many ways we can live this life we’ve been given, and that’s allowed us to rethink the way we’ve chosen to live right now, too!

we’re ready to settle down (ish) for the winter in SoCal. the desert is calling us back like an old friend we’ve gone far too long without seeing. we’re looking forward to working (wtf), art-ing, holidays with family and hopefully lots of visits from friends ✨

this year has brought so much growth, so many new perspectives, new connections and new parts of ourselves discovered! we’re so grateful for all the time spent living among the forest and nights spent under the stars 🌟 this beautiful path of intuitive living that we’ve been walking has only just begun. we have so many ideas & so much time to bring each one to the surface ✨ so much more to come!

the bathroom is probably the cutest part of our remodel ✨

its also the only part of the motorhome that can be closed off behind a door…. so sometimes its also a space to get some alone time, a space to gather thoughts, a space to recenter….. it has a great heater vent too so sometimes on a cold morning it’s Jacob’s favorite spot in the house 😂😂😂

it’s warm weather today so we’re taking the day off to get some chores done and enjoy the sunshine! 🌞

there’s one thing ALL full-time nomads can agree on….

multi purpose is a MUST!

when we started renovating last year, getting the most of this dinette corner was SO important for us! we’re lucky to have a carpenter in the family (Jacob’s dad) who helped bring the vision to reality ✨

this table does it all! its our dining “room”, my work desk, my art studio AND our piano slides out on the giant keyboard drawer hidden underneath!

it also has a bonus feature; we put allllll the random stuff underneath when we drive and that keeps things from flying/sliding around!

what’s your fav multi purpose item in your adventure mobile?? we wanna know all the genius ideas!
