THE GEE VAUCHER FOUNDATION

https://geevaucherartfoundation.org/

While many people first encounter Vaucher through her iconic visual work with Crass, her significance extends far beyond that. The mission of the Gee Vaucher Foundation is to preserve, protect and promote the artistic legacy of Gee Vaucher, one of the most important British artists of the last fifty years.

The Gee Vaucher Foundation has three key strands to its mission:

1.     To ensure that Vaucher’s body of work remains whole, accessible and safeguarded for future generations and available for public engagement, education, and inspiration.

2.     To find a permanent home for the foundation in London to house and display Vaucher’s body of work.

3.     For these premises to continue the legacy of radical creativity encouraged at Dial House, the historic home of Crass and open-house founded by Vaucher and Penny Rimbaud in 1967.

The Foundation’s mission is to help advance public education, appreciation and understanding of the arts through exhibitions, learning programmes and community engagement. As it develops, the Foundation will not only honour Gee Vaucher’s extraordinary contribution to art and activism, but also to supporting the next generation of radical creatives committed to pushing boundaries, asking difficult questions and challenging the status quo.

Meanwhile, Vaucher and Rimbaud will continue to run Dial House as they always have: welcoming visitors, hosting creative events, and offering residencies where artists and collaborators can experiment, share skills and develop independent projects rooted in progressive, radical values.

Eventually, with the demise of Vaucher and Rimbaud, Dial House will transfer into the ownership and stewardship of the Foundation, ensuring its future as a living centre for creativity, collaboration and social change.

We are now seeking donors to help make this ambition a reality. Your support will enable us to acquire and establish this permanent home, secure these irreplaceable collections for future generations, and create an enduring public resource where art, activism continue to shape one another for decades to come. by @exitstencilpress

In memory of Graham Moss. One of the finest typesetters ever, an inspiration, and the kindest geezer!
The Incline Press reading day will be on Sunday 31st of August. As no fuss was permitted, I shall leave you to organise yourselves on what that means and what you might like to do. My plan is to start at 10am for a Think and a Thank you, and read Graham's books from there.

Though very strictly an atheist, he did quote The Beatitudes to me on several occasions, which was always the beginning of an interesting conversation once I picked myself up off the floor. I suppose they are common sense to a beatnik anarchist who loved people, so I might start with reading those.

The Bow Street building was finally emptied on Tuesday after many trips in the van (thank you to those that helped) and I have been posting out books across the world since then. Hopefully they will arrive in time for the 31st. by @exitstencilpress
