We spent yesterday on a stretch of the East Coast Trail in Mobile with Shelby from @experiencewildera, filling canvas pouches with berries and flowers and talking about what grows out here and what you can do with it.

The trail opens right onto the coast in front of the Witless Bay Ecological Reserve. Shelby foraged kelp off the rocks while we stood there.

Back at the yurt at @foodcultureplace there was a board of homemade sourdough, sauerkraut, brie, and moose sausage waiting for us. Then we made our own wild fermented sodas from everything we’d gathered that morning. Deep magenta, properly delicious, and two jars came home with us.

Cape Breton, we’re coming for you.

Now tell me honestly. Are there fairies in Newfoundland? 🧚‍♀️
