SUP Antarctica Expedition looking for team members

Matt and team looking for confident paddleboarders with remote camping experience

February 2028 myself and a small team will be heading to Antarctica for the first SUP Antarctica expedition.

This SUP Antarctica expedition plans to be the first SUP based expedition to the continent. A small team will be setting out from Ushuaia, Argentina. After crossing the Drake passage on a transport ship we will rendezvous with the expedition yacht Icebird. This ship and our tents will be home for the next 15 days as we explore along the world’s most isolated coastline

This is not just an adventure; this is a research trip. We have teamed up with the Polar Collective, a research group dedicated to expanding our limited knowledge of this fragile ecosystem. The SUP’s will allow us to cruise through icy passages and weave between islands with just the sound of the blade in the water and the gentle lapping of the waves. Providing a unique perspective to gather data for 3 important projects.

🙏🙏🙏To our amazing social media community... We still have two more locations where we could really use some support THIS WEEKEND please.🙏🙏🙏

In case you don't know, Mike and I are walking 7,300 miles around the coast of mainland Great Britain for @dsairambulance and raising awareness of the mental health and wellbeing benefits of adventure for all ages @adventuremindconf . We don't need much. Just a garden for our tent, or, if you have room, a bed for the night would be fabulous please!

We have reached Gravesend and still need hosting at:
♡ Woolwich on Saturday 2nd May
♡ Deptford on Sunday 3rd May

We have had a fantastic response to our plea for hosts in and around the Thames area. Thank you to @julie.greatwood, Claire Jenkins, and Anne Cilia for stepping in as our newest *Coast Busters 👻

Please drop me a DM if you can help ... and even if you can't host us, if you can share within your own S.M. circles, that would the best thing you can do to help us out today! Thank you SO much! 🥰💚💙

(*who we're gonna call)

HeadRightOut hugs
Zoe & Mike x 💚💙

With just a few days left until applications close for the #AdventureMind Grant I wanted to share one more of our recent winners:

Ten children from a special needs school in Wrexham tried canoeing for the first time. The school contacted us to support their kids who normally miss out on outdoor activities. They had an amazing day, built confidence and canoed across an aqueduct.

I established the #Grant to help individuals, families, and small groups access outdoor adventures that might otherwise be out of reach.

The #AdventureMindGrant provides funding (typically £300–£500) for adventures tailored to participants’ experience levels, promoting self-development, confidence, wellbeing, and connection with nature.

Interested individuals are asked to complete a short application form by the end of January. 3 days to apply!

Please share with those who might benefit from an adventure, help them to fill in the application form.

With just 10 days left until applications close for the #AdventureMind Grant I wanted to share some of our recent winners.

Let me introduce the unstoppable Zee @zee_jogi and team

Zee applied for funding to support a group of women to take their first hikes in the Lake District. Twenty women were supported to share a weekend and undertake their first hikes, or first long hikes in nature. Many of the women face social isolation, financial hardship, or mental health challenges. Through hiking, team-building exercises, and mindfulness activities, they built confidence, pushed their boundaries and made new friendships.

With just 2 weeks left until applications close for the #AdventureMind Grant I wanted to share some of our past winners.

Let me introduce Clare and Maya, a mother and daughter team supported by the Grant to climb Snowdon this summer to raise money for the Willen Hospice.

This was a challenge that Maya decided she wanted to do in memory of her Dad who tragically passed away in 2022 from cancer. Clare and Maya battled the wind, rain and fog and got within meters of the summit before taking the sensible decision to turn around when the wind reached dangerous speeds. Inspired by how far they got, they are now planning Scafell Pike and Ben Nevis
