SUP Antarctica Expedition looking for team members Matt and team looking for confident paddleboarders with remote camping experience February 2028 myself and a small team will be heading to Antarctica for the first SUP Antarctica expedition. This SUP Antarctica expedition plans to be the first SUP based expedition to the continent. A small team will be setting out from Ushuaia, Argentina. After crossing the Drake passage on a transport ship we will rendezvous with the expedition yacht Icebird. This ship and our tents will be home for the next 15 days as we explore along the world’s most isolated coastline This is not just an adventure; this is a research trip. We have teamed up with the Polar Collective, a research group dedicated to expanding our limited knowledge of this fragile ecosystem. The SUP’s will allow us to cruise through icy passages and weave between islands with just the sound of the blade in the water and the gentle lapping of the waves. Providing a unique perspective to gather data for 3 important projects. Teammate needed. We are "Old Enough To Row Better,” a mixed team, mostly aged 50 something energetic, rowing enthusiasts, who plan to row 3000 miles across the Atlantic from La Gomera to Antigua in December 2027. We want to put the spotlight on the physical and mental health of people aged 50 and over, and demonstrate that it’s never too late to set new challenges, build resilience, and achieve new goals whilst staying fit, strong and motivated. We would like to inspire others to set a goal and achieve a challenge. We are based in the North West and Anglesey. We are currently a team of 4 (due to job change) and are looking for another mature person, male or female, based in the North West of England or North Wales 50 years old or over to join us and make us a team of 5. The ability to row is not essential. Naked crossing of Spanish island in September - teammate needed Join naked Neil on a two-day #crossing of a Spanish island; no equipment, no clothing, no food. Message from Neil: "I’m Neil, a 36 year old Brit who enjoys all types of #expeditions. I've kayaked, skied and climbed in places like Siberia, Svalbard and Greenland with my most recent trip bigger trip being a kayak descent of the Grand Canyon in May 2025. I also live as a lifestyle #naturist and am fortunate enough to have built understanding in my local community such that I’m able to go about my daily business (such as shopping) undressed, and regularly run, walk and climb naked around the Peak District. In 2022 I also cycled 1000 miles naked from Land’s End to John O’Groats with my friend Hannah, raising around £5,000 for charity in the process. Based loosely on the TV show “Naked, Alone and Racing to Get Home”, I’m looking for a team mate to join me in undertaking a truly “unsupported” expedition; a two-day crossing of a Spanish island entirely bare; no equipment, no clothing and no food. It will be a true test of personal fortitude and what we can achieve with only our bodies and brains*. Dates: 4 days in late September or early October Approx cost: part funded, total cost expected to be less than £100 Desirable skills/experience: Good fitness (capable of covering c. 30km a day on foot) Please contact Neil via the #explorersconnect join a team page https://www.explorersconnect.com/join-a-team #teammate #expedition #expeditionteammate #teammates #longdistancehiking #longdistancewalking #instanature #nudism #nature #naturists by @explorersconnect

#Teammate needed for Atlantic Crossing Heather open to crossing by boat hitchike, cargo ship or joining a crew "I am a 24-year-old female looking for a travel partner to join me on an #Atlantic crossing by boat, from Europe to the Caribbean. I do not have a #boat, and have very limited #sailing experience (RYA competent crew). I am interested in either joining a more experienced crew, or finding a partner willing to attempt to boat #hitchhike with me, or travel by cargo ship with me. I am primarily seeking a companion for safety reasons as this is a long crossing which I do not want to do alone without anyone I trust (especially as a young woman), and am looking for other adventurers in a similar position. Requirements from you: - dedication to the expedition - regular discussions to plan - meet ups in person several times to develop trust If you have any sailing experience and/or a boat that's a bonus! Please reach out to me telling me a little bit about yourself and your skills/experience :) About me: I am currently an Ecology, Evolution & Conservation MRes student at Imperial College London, studying avian bioacoustics across an Amazonian forest restoration landscape. I'm primarily interested in terrestrial ecology and ornithology, especially tropical rainforests, and am planning a larger trip around South America. I organised and conducted a year-long solo ornithological research project across 7 different countries between 2023-24 (www.fightforflight2023.wordpress.com) which I spoke about at the RGS, have hitchhiked from Edinburgh to Prague, and spent last summer living on an 100-year-old wooden ship which I helped to restore. Timeline: Around November 2026 - February 2027 For more info or to get in touch here www.explorersconnect.com/join-a-team #explorersconnect #expeditionteammate #expedition by @explorersconnect
Arctic scientist looking for arctic explorers to assist in data collection Contact Dr Emily to get involved with impactful citizen science "Dear Explorers Connect community I have been working in and exploring the Arctic for scientific research purposes for over a decade. My research requires collecting river water samples. The ability for me to travel around the arctic is limited by cost and time, so I wondered about setting up collaborations with explorers and travel exploration companies where I can provide them with a small bit of light-weight scientific equipment to collect water from places they may visit on their explorations. There would be no payment but all shipping costs/training would be provided. It would be a nice bit of citizen science which may return some high impact science." If you can help please get in touch with Emily here www.explorersconnect.com/join-a-team #arctic #arcticscience #expeditionteam #expedition #expeditionteammate #citizenscience #fieldwork #explorersconnect by @explorersconnect
Teammate needed to run the Pamir Trail in #Tajikistan Tom is looking for a partner to try and run the Pamir trail in Tajikistan. The aim is to fastpack the trail, running where possible and walking when not carrying all the necessary equipment to be self supported between resupplies in the villages. We may try to raise money for mind and do a self filmed video in a small way. Aiming to go in July and August but could delay a few weeks for the right kind of keen bean. "I would like to go with someone who has a good sense of humour and relaxed attitude. They need to be up for trying something that might turn out to be impossible or stupid and have prior UK running experience of self supported rounds or races. Ideally they will also have prior experience of adventures that cause you to have to try really hard for a prolonged period - this could be in any sport. It's the experience of being knackered and smiling anyway I'm looking for, not specific running expertise. I don't give a hoot about their gender. See 2 photos of me + a photo each of Larry and Lucy - friends who might join for sections. Hopefully they communicate the vibe." With just 10 days left until applications close for the #AdventureMind Grant I wanted to share some of our recent winners. Let me introduce the unstoppable Zee @zee_jogi and team Zee applied for funding to support a group of women to take their first hikes in the Lake District. Twenty women were supported to share a weekend and undertake their first hikes, or first long hikes in nature. Many of the women face social isolation, financial hardship, or mental health challenges. Through hiking, team-building exercises, and mindfulness activities, they built confidence, pushed their boundaries and made new friendships. I established the #Grant to help individuals, families, and small groups access outdoor adventures that might otherwise be out of reach. The #AdventureMindGrant provides funding (typically £300–£500) for adventures tailored to participants’ experience levels, promoting self-development, confidence, wellbeing, and connection with nature. Interested individuals are asked to complete a short application form by the end of January. 10 days to apply! Please share with those who might benefit from an adventure, help them to fill in the application form. https://www.adventuremind.org/granthttps://www.adventuremind.org/past-winners #AdventureMind #adventure #wellbeing #evidencebasedpractice #adventuremindset Please share: @zee_jogi @stoicpilgrimcoach @splodz @headrightout @samantha.pywell @bryan.jones.526438 @charlotte_fowell @monsieur__chandelier @globalconvoy @beccamarsh_ @maximillianwhite @sallykettle @drhelendodd @phil.banfield @stancer_mark @youradventurechallenge @abbiebarneswild @jessica_hepburn_ @lisa_thebeast_and_billy @cognitvexplorer1 by @explorersconnect
