First family hunt 🥰🦆👫🏻🦮
I’ve come at this hobby very backwards, having not grown up with hunting in my life and spending a year+ training a bird dog before ever firing at a duck. Today, I finally got to see this sweet pup in action as we got our first birds together as a family. Thank you @extra.chrisb for bringing me along on this journey and the fine ladies of @uncharted_outdoorswomen who showed me the ropes on my first hunt just over a year ago. My heart is full and I’m beaming with pride over how well Kirby pup is coming along. Can’t wait to get back out there ❤️ by @extra.chrisb

Big morning on the river with my buddy! So proud of how well Kirby did on his first hunt! Special thanks to Kirby’s friend Tiller for showing him the ropes and then letting the youngster get some reps in. Can’t wait to get back out there! by @extra.chrisb

March updates: we got snowed in… a lot. But got out to see some music. Welcomed both doggo and human guests. Plowed out. Rode sleds. Got the best handwritten/drawn card I’ve ever received. Missed Kirby pup while he learned to chase birds in Wisconsin. Returned from Wisconsin and promptly brought a dead magpie into the house. Gave me attitude. Rode more sleds. Got snowed in again. All in all, a winter for the books. Views from the house still slap, which is beneficial when you can’t leave said house for days at a time 🙃 taken in Steamboat Springs, Colorado by @extra.chrisb

Thankful doesn’t even begin to describe it. We’re so thrilled to begin this chapter of our life in a place we love and have only ever dreamed of calling home. We’re thrilled to plant roots here in Steamboat and are beyond grateful to have found this beautiful property to call our own. taken in Steamboat Springs, Colorado by @extra.chrisb
