What do you say about a woman who meant so much, for so many years.

You helped raised a wild teenager. You kept me safe when I didn’t have a safe home at times to go home to. You loved me for years as I experienced my first love with your son. You and Jerry treated me like your own.

In a world before selfies and cell phone cameras, all I have are snap shots in my mind for all the bunco games I joined with you, the ornament exchanges I participated in (and still have covering my tree), the art classes and projects we did together, the days we hung out at the shop and at the house.

You have always been the band mom, the classroom mom, the PTA mom that I have wished to be.

I remember thinking “I’ll be just like this, when I am a mom.” And, now I’m here. Full circle with my 3 boys..just as you had. And, a piece of you is always with me, even though it was years ago and so many years have passed.

Thank you for loving me as an adult and being such a huge cheerleader from my sidelines. Thank you for making the most delish wedding cake for my wedding.

You would have loved your memorial. You would have cried. The bagpipes and whole (current) high school band surprised everyone and filed in and played amazing grace for you. I am sure you saw all of the band kids, sitting in the back, SOBBING. We were a MESS 😆😭.

Everyone spoke about your, almost decade long love and dedication to the program that you helped shape in so many ways. The program that meant EVERYTHING to us, and still does.

Your lasting impact is clearly still felt, and I hope you are smiling down at us, feeling all the love that we probably never REALLY told you while you were here on Earth.

Until we meet again.

Paint some beautiful sunsets for us. Give us some Santa shaped clouds.

I feel like we’re never on IG much but we’re here, getting over MONO, dealing with hurricane damage house drama, and trying to ward off the never ending random cold (thankfully not Covid) that these monkeys bring home… BUT life is good, God is good, and man has He given me more than I deserve. Thanking Him always for allowing me to raise 3 strong, wild Boys.

This morning..for the first time in history….a stranger didn’t say “woah, you’ve sure got your hands full” when seeing I have 3 amazing boys.

Instead, I was told (with zero hesitatation) “you are a rich woman”

.

😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭

I was literally stunned. Speechless. I had no words. I don’t think she realized how much that simple and powerful phrase meant/means to me.

I completely agree. I hit the billion dollar jackpot with these 3. I am so blessed.

So..here’s a PSA to anyone who’s uttered that phrase to a parent with a lot of kiddos and/or a bunch of kiddos the same gender. Please remove “you’ve got your hands full” from your vocabulary and replace it with “you are a rich woman/man.” It’s a game changer and will likely make that parent’s day. 💙🥰

I’m back on Insta! Lots of changes over here this year. House remodel, prepping to transition into civilian life (Devin retires next year!) and finally getting this big ol thang off my neck.

Here’s your gentle reminder that you don’t always see what people are going through so always spread that kindness! I’ve been hiding this big ol softball/my hyperthyroidism symptoms for about 6 years now. It’s wreaked total havoc on my body. I know there will be lots of different challenges now not having my thyroid/being hypothyroid but I am excited for this new chapter in my life! Docs said there could be a possibility of cancer hiding but we’ll know in a couple weeks. They’re hoping there wasn’t. Would love your prayers that it isn’t ❤️🙏🏻

Thank you friends and family for all of your love and support the last few years, and always..especially now. I feel so loved my heart could explode!

Hopefully I’ll get to bust out of this joint today. Im sore, can’t talk much, but doing good!

You know those days you have to clean your crazy messy house but you decide to paint your wall rust instead, then hate the color, then have to clean all the paint your kids spread everywhere while helping, then have to re paint with primer to start all over with another color (green)...

Weakness: homeschooling
Strengths: giving my oldest extra bits of love while he’s at public school.

We would love prayers for a safe and healthy spring semester. Such a nerve wracking and guilt ridden decision but homeschooling with a Lincoln and a new babes isn’t working. Hats off to all the super moms who homeschool with littles! My hat is all the way off. to. ya. by @extraordinaryema

Sweet littlest boy fell asleep on my chest, with his little hand under his body, I laid him down in his bassinet and saw his little print left behind 🥰😭.
