The story behind Matt Hunter’s Gap to Wall in Kamloops.

For us at Anthill Films @anthillfilms , this was a defining moment in Follow Me, our first film as Anthill. We knew Matt well from The Collective years and had always loved his creativity.

For Sterling @eyeroam and Matty @mattyhunter , landing the cover of Bike Magazine @bikemag was a huge honour for both photographer and athlete. For it to become a gatefold cover made it even more special.

“In the evolution of freeride during that decade or so… Matt was one of the key riders whom was pioneering the boundaries not only in magnitude but also creativity. I loved that he tried to interpret into the raw landscape offered and he was willing to put in the time to find what was naturally being offered. He had a great gauge on where the sport had been, and what hadn’t been done before… and he was willing to risk being at the front of exploration”

A true honor to have the opportunity to photograph Mathieu van der Poel, alongside Anthill Films, in his home environments with his family and friends. My favorite quote I heard him say...”Of all the cycling disciplines...I enjoy the mountain bike the most, for it can take you to so many special places”. He is gunning for his fourth straight Paris-Roubaix win this weekend. Who does that?? Have a look into his life in a nice new film by Anthill Films and Shimano…found on Shimano Youtube. ‘This is Home’ @mathieuvanderpoel @anthillfilms @rideshimano @davidvanderpoel @niels_verdijck #mtb #roadcycling #vanderpoel #cycling #xtr taken in Europe by @eyeroam

What was the assignment? Great terrain for a new bike by Trek that can be setup in 3 travel configurations based on user wishes... so something like “up to the alpine, ripping down the otherside, past a waterfall, into the rocky woods, and blasting out out into the grasslands on a flow trail in a firing sunset?”... yes, eye roam the planet seeking out the best potential for my clients. the new Trek Fuel EX, MX, and LX. set it up as you please and with electricity if you fancy.

thank you @r_doggystyles and @dcuppers for quality tread marks laid.
