Volcan Santa Ana 🌋

There are several options that are at your disposal and whichever is most suitable will have to do with preference and cost. Once you arrive at the parking lot of the volcano you will be met by several guides offering their services, parking is $3usd. Option 1: you may choose to join a group for $7usd and then a $3usd entrance fee. If you select this option, make sure to arrive no later than 1030am. Option 2: is a private “group tour”, you group can consist of you and a guide, or you and a group of friends/strangers. The cost for that service is $35usd per group.

The views are breathtaking. Three quarters of the way up, or so there’s a look at out tower and viewpoint that you can see Lago de Coatepeque on a clear day. Unfortunately, for me I climbed the tower on a cloudy day and was unable to see the lake. However, I was able to see the surrounding landscape filled with a variety of vibrant colors. The way the tree tops hugged each other was symmetrically pleasing.

This had to be one of the easiest hikes that I’ve ever done to date.
