This summer we have no regular and reliable hours. This means, if you’re a local or simply passing through, you are welcome to swing by the shop anytime to try and catch us. Try giving us a call first just so we’ll have a heads up. Basically, if there is a vehicle, bike, or skateboard out front then we’re here. Just ring the doorbell if the door is locked. We keep an eye on the door but when we’re running the machines it’s tough to hear you knocking.

If we’re not here you may leave your shoes in a box or bag (with your contact info incl. email and telephone) on the red cart outside the front door. If dropping off please take the time to read through our Acceptable Shoe Policy and let us know what services/rubber options you’d like by browsing our options (La Sportiva) and (Scarpa). These things are found on our website - link in bio.

Pick up of finished shoes will only be available to locals, by appointment (phone or email). For everyone else passing through finished shoes will have to be shipped back and an invoice will be emailed to you.

Online ordering remains open 24/7. by @fa_resoles

La Sportiva Mistral Modification

A request came in for removal of lower strap, d-ring, and webbing with the addition of a custom top patch for roof crack jamming purposes.

The d-ring webbing (which is sandwiched between the upper textile and rand rubber at the factory) was completely removed to help ensure comfort with no pressure points when jamming. This required very careful peeling of the rand rubber in order to access the strap and remove stitching.

A custom sticky 1.5mm top patch was created, complete with mirrored factory cut-outs. The area of the patch directly above the tongue was not bonded to the tongue, for freedom of movement, and larger flex cut-outs were added to help make sure the patch would stretch sufficiently to accommodate the climbers foot.

Fun project and I hope it serves its purpose. Time will tell I suppose. Hard saying, not knowing.

07/22/2026 - The Mythproach, by Shredmands.

Ha! What a funny idea, eh? Could be the ugliest approach shoe I’ve “made”. Could be the coolest. All depends what you’re into. Anyway, it was a fun project. The narrow width and Miller Toe-favoring shape of the Mythos as a climbing shoe left little to be desired by my feet - so a change was needed.

Completely deconstructed down to the leather sock, rebuilt on an approach last for additional width and reverse camber for more comfortable walking, added a 2.2mm midsole for support, 2.5mm rand rubber for a more robust toe, resoled with Davos TRACK Soft and sticky approach sole, and added an insole. Comfy as all heck, performance-fit for climbing technical rock, and, well…I’ll keep you posted on how they perform.
