Sometimes It’s important for me to get out of my comfort zone so that I can capture these intense images. Easy morning on El Capitan, Yosemite with @nicolamartinezz, always an adventure 🤘#yosemite #elcapitan #zodiac

“Magic doesn't sweep you away; it gathers you up into the body of the present moment so thoroughly that all your explanations fall away: the ordinary, in all its plain and simple outrageousness, begins to shine -- to become luminously, impossibly so. Every facet of the world is awake, and you within it.”
― David Abram, Becoming Animal: An Earthly Cosmology

For me, this is the heart of climbing.

I fell in love with the sport, the way it summons generous attention, how I attune to the elements, nature, the feel of the rock, how this movement is a return to being in my body, the way it summons the fine edge of a sweet curiosity, leaning into the wild unknown…and the widening circles of perception that simultaneously reveal my smallness and infinite Nature existing in one place. This is the magic, I so thoroughly marvel at. 💫

Shout out to @greatertahoegripworks for the awesome work on my TC Pros. Fixed the hole in my right toe from crappy footwork and glued down the always-delaminating edges of the shoes. They even called me to confirm things before they put my shoe under the knife. I've had issues in the past with my shoes coming back fitting differently than when I sent them in (I'm looking at you rubber room) but these came back fitting perfectly. Now if only they could do a resolve of my weak ass aid climber arms. . . . . . . #rockclimbing, #climbing, #climb, #bigwall, #aidclimbing, #aid, #climbing_pictures_of_instagram, #bigwallclimbing, #multipitch, #climbingismypassion, #climbingworldwide, #goatworthy, #climbinglove, #climbingnation, #climbinginspiration, #climbersofinstagram, #climbon, #neverstopexploring, #iloveclimbing, #liveclimbrepeat, #failfalling #greatertahoegripworks #resole

Who’s up for a new adventure? These kids!!! ⛰ ⛰ ⛰

Our hearts are FULL 💙💙💙thanks to the generosity of the wonderful people at @alpenglowexpeditions! Thank you for the opportunity to climb the @tahoevia with some INCREDIBLY deserving and #courageous kids!

Despite experiencing some remarkable hardships in the past few months secondary to the #dixiefire and #caldorfire , the ongoing coronavirus pandemic and the stressors of life that don’t remit in the face of the aforementioned, these kids rose to the occasion and welcomed an opportunity to celebrate their limitless capabilities.

We are so honored to be there to help them reach new heights and see just how amazing they truly are.

We couldn’t be more #grateful. We couldn’t possibly be more proud!

Spread the word about our important work please! 🙏 🙏 🙏
