What does it look like to trust God when you’re still waiting for an answer?

Maybe you’ve prayed for healing, for a relationship to be restored, or for someone you love to come back to Jesus. You’re still waiting, and surrender feels painful.

In Daniel 3, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego show us that faith isn’t dependent on getting the outcome we hope for. We can ask God boldly for what we need while still trusting Him with what happens next.

You can bring your requests to God and surrender the outcome in the very same prayer. Even in the waiting, He is worthy of our trust. by @fac_erie

What if obedience means trusting God even when we don’t know how the story will end?

In Daniel 3, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego stood firm in their faith, even when obedience could cost them everything. They didn’t know how things would turn out, but they knew who they belonged to.

We can do the same. Even when the outcome is uncertain, the cost is great, or fear tells us to hold back, we can take the next faithful step because God is trustworthy. by @fac_erie

What a meaningful week celebrating missions at FAC!

We kicked off the week with Sunday worship as Jim Eaton brought a message centered on what it means to be On Mission Together. Jim and LuAnne Eaton, missionaries from Spain, reminded us that missions isn’t just about going overseas. As followers of Jesus, we all have a part to play in sharing His hope with the world, wherever He has placed us.

From serving alongside local churches and discipling believers to equipping leaders and building relationships in Spain, Jim and LuAnne shared how God works through ordinary people who are willing to say yes to Him. Their message challenged us to consider what God has already placed in our hands and how we can use our gifts, relationships, resources, and prayers to make a difference for His Kingdom.

Throughout the week, they connected with different ministries across our church, including young adults and youth. During our Encounter: Prayer & Worship Night, we also had the opportunity to pray over them and their ministry. The week came to a close Saturday evening with our Missions Dinner, bringing our church family together to celebrate what God is doing around the world and our part in it.

One body. One Spirit. One mission. One hope. We’re grateful for the opportunity to partner together in the work God is doing in Spain and beyond. Because the mission belongs to all of us, and it starts with a simple question: Jesus, what is my part? taken in First Alliance Church by @fac_erie

What has God already placed in your hands?

Sometimes, the most ordinary things become part of an extraordinary story when we surrender them to Him.

Instead of asking, “Who’s going to do something?” what if we started asking, “Jesus, what is my part?”

You don’t have to have something impressive to make a difference. You just have to be willing to surrender what you have. by @fac_erie

Tomorrow night is Encounter: Prayer & Worship Night—a chance to slow down, seek God together, and make space to listen for His leading.

We’ll lift our eyes to Jesus, unite our hearts in worship and prayer, and seek Him together as a church family.

And FAC Kids Praise & Prayer is happening too! Kids will start the evening worshiping alongside their families before heading into a fun, hands-on night of learning how to praise God and put prayer into action.

Yesterday, our men gathered for breakfast, fellowship, and a challenge to take a closer look at Jesus.

Jesus is a man of integrity. He led by example. He is patient and meek, yet He isn’t afraid to stand against our pride.

The challenge? Saturate yourself in His Word. Stay hungry for the Lord.

There’s something special about gathering together on a Sunday.

This Sunday is Missions Week at FAC, and we’ll be hearing from our International Workers to Spain, Jim and LuAnn Eaton, as they share about their ministry in pastoring and mentoring, as well as training and equipping leaders in prayer ministry.

Come worship with us, hear what God is doing around the world, and be reminded that the mission of the Church reaches far beyond our walls.
