In the words of the late, great Kobe Bryant: "The lesson I cherish the most is how important it is to love what you do."

And if you know me, you know I LOVE what I do. This year was an absolute blast—from lock-ins to retreats, leadership trainings to small getaways, 2024 was overflowing with love, growth, and a whole lot of fun.

Thank you, Jesus, for letting me be a part of what You’re doing.
Thank you to my wife for being the best and drawing out the best in me.
Thank you, facYOUTH, for being the absolute best.
Thank you, FAC, for being such a dope place to call home.

As we close out 2024, here’s a lesson I’m taking with me into 2025: “There has never been a sadness that can’t be cured by breakfast food.” — Ron Swanson.

Here’s to more Jesus, more laughs, more adventures, and maybe even more waffles in 2025!

Campers and staff worshipping Jesus! A huge thank you to our counselors who have continued to go above and beyond anything we've asked them to do.

Many thanks to Pastor Scott Shuffield and his wife Cindy for spending time with our Adults with Special Needs campers this week. Pastor Scott so lovingly and clearly presented the gospel and other Bible truths to these precious adults.

Skills: I sing, play drums, piano, acoustic & electric guitar, bass, mandolin, ukulele, harmonica

Wants to play: cello

If you weren’t leading: I’d be a studio musician

Favorite style of music: instrumental jazz fusion

Brass or woodwinds? Brass

Most embarrassing moment onstage: I forgot words to a song on a Sunday morning and had to kick my wife (her eyes were closed) to get her to take over singing for me

“There is no other name but the name that is Jesus//He who was and still is, and will be through it all//So come what may in the space between//All the things unseen and this reckoning//And I know I will never be alone//I know I will never be alone”

Merry Christmas from the girls and I....and the cute little photo bomber in the back 🤣

All in all, I was impressed with how the girls (ahem, Rey) did during the Christmas Eve service at FAC tonight. I may have had to slip her my phone towards the end, but it worked! She didn't try to run off or yell (more than once) or think that she needed to hold any of the lit candles. It's a win in my book!

A group of awesome teens from First Alliance Church’s youth group (along with some pretty cool leaders) counted, sorted, packed, and delivered A LOT of Healing Hearts valentines 💕 today! THANK YOU! 👏🏻 How many did we collect? Listen to the good news story on the Wake-Up Call Monday morning at 8:50 to find out!
