That makes us so proud: Max Foidl @fax_moidl took the KTM 32er proto to the Soldier Hollow XC world cup and sent it to 22nd place. Austrian XC Champ 😊
To make the geo suit him, he was on our DROP BEST UC.

What looks like just any other bicycle part, is A BIG DEAL for us:

A SWISS MADE, FORGED COMPONENT
of our DROP BEST UC.

As far as we are aware, there is NO forged bike part currently for sale that is made in Europe, Switzerland or even the USA. There are quite some preforms made in these parts of the world (notably a lot of hubshells), but no fully forged parts. Let alone from tiny companies like us.

There is a lot going on around this (the forging topic) for us, and we will talk a lot more here to discuss some of these aspects.

BUT FOR NOW WE ARE JUST STOKED TO HAVE THESE PRODUCTION SAMPLES IN OUR HANDS 🔥

Made @schwarz_angehrn_ag, you guys absolutely rock!!!

Material: 7075-T6 aluminum alloy (sourced/made in Germany).

Been assembling some of our DAILY HOOK cargo straps lately.

- hook laser cut and CNC'd in Switzerland from european made aluminum
- backplates stainless steel, cut and threads rolled on the same machine, swiss made
- the springs/closures swiss made in a small custom spring shop (fully italian deal: younger guy running it, grandpa helping out with a life worth of spring making know how); heat treated for ultimate durability
- bolts made in Germany, coated in Switzerland
- tubes sourced from local bike shops
- hooks rubberized with a german made liquid rubber, inhouse at FAIR bicycle

Fully circular (tubes via @schwalbetires butyl recycling program), except for the rubber coating, let us know if you have a circular solution for such a (or a similar) thing! by @fair_bicycle

This is not the kind of post you ever want to make.
Max Riese, a.k.a @kleinerriese, passed away on tuesday september 15th, after a crash during a training ride.

This is a shock to us. As cyclists we know such things can happen, yet it is hard to accept when it happens.

Max, we will always think of you when we enjoy the wonderful thing that bike riding is.

Only a few days ago we were talking with the guys @cervelo, his bike sponsor, about him being such an exceptional person and bikerider, and now this. We are lost.

We are thankful of having had the pleasure to supply Max with our parts and getting to know him.

Our thoughts are with his family and friends and everyone in the cycling community that knew him.

Thank you Max, we miss you! Our next ride and all those that are to come, are dedicated to you. R.I.P. by @fair_bicycle

That's a cool 1200.- CHF (1465.- USD/2038.- CAD or 1087.- GBP) lying on the table.
In small parts for the odd-ish 2021 Fox Transfer and Race Face dropper posts.
We have to keep these parts in stock and thus, that money freezed, in order to be able to fulfill orders at any time. Not complaining, just showing the cost of doing business 😉
Especially the fair trade and Swiss Made way we do it.
On small parts like these, we make no money at all. We hand them on at our cost. The batches we get made from our suppliers are so low, in this case 100pcs per part, that we can't (and don't want to) put a margin on them. That is mainly because we manufacture everything here in Switzerland, were cost is high, but work is good.
On the (positive) flip side, today we were short of these F21 parts as we call them, but a quick road bike ride to our supplier @kyburzfeinmechanik solved the issue, as they most of the time overproduce a bit, when we order, and keep that rest in stock.
Their "frozen money".

Every time it happens, we are so stoked to see pro riders use our products!!!
@keegels99 Keegan Swenson, 2025 Marathon World Champion, headed to Italy to defend his title and ended up a in 7th place. Can't win every time, but Keegan has won MANY long distance races :)
Great to see his @iamspecialized Epic 9 dialled with a DROP BEST AXS from us.

The mother of all books.
dr.c.hanserag is the distributor of @ganternorm parts in Switzerland.

They publish an analog (read: paper) catalog of, well, everything.

2208 pages of everything a creator needs to see. The book itself is a great design and so are the parts.

We like to use it for inspiration and for solving mind-f*c&s when designing.
Huge amount of know how in there!!

And we just love the fact that in 2026 someone publishes a great, enormous and expensive catalog. No website has ever felt like strolling through such a thing.

Kind of proud to have found a bug in our otherwise beloved @adskfusion Fusion CAD software.
If any of you is wondering why you are unable to select certain areas to extrude, rotate etc. after the latest Fusion update...

It's because you have turned on section analysis. Who would have thought?
Makes zero sense, but that's what it is and that's why it's a bug.

Made us loose half a day in total...and cost an inch thick nerve at least...

But the great people at @autodesk support have figured it out. That was a really hard one to figure out, so extra thanks to Harry, you know who you are 😊

Just normal work. We like to show the normal stuff on IG. Because we have nothing shiny and fancy, really. It is thinking, making & shipping.

And a lot of late night shifts. For no money until now. All the money we make, we put into new products and into keeping stock of everything at almost any time.

Some bike fitters discover us as the only solution for quite some fitting issues.
@my_saddle works to achieve positions allowing for no-chamois riding. We like.
