🔥 Meer naar voren.
⚡ Steilere zithoek.

Hellenic Mountain Race 2026 🇬🇷

My second time doing this magnificent race.
The course will be as brutal as I remember. I’m very sure that’ll not change. 920km and 29.000m of climbing. Technical mountainbiking and steep climbs. Some tarmac in between but the rough stuff is what will stick to your memories.
What has changed a lot is my setup! Still rocking my @cervelo ZHT-5 frame but with an HB16 aero gravel cockpit and the corresponding SRAM force levers. XX transmission group set, @reservewheels 28|XC wheels and my beloved @maxxistires.de Aspen and Aspen ST tires.
The full @tailfincycling setup with SpeedPack and long top tube bag and a shiny full frame R&D frame bag.
The nerdy stuff starts with the @posedla.cc Joyseat custom 3D printed saddle and the @fair_bicycle UC Drop Best clamp that allows me to get into my aggressive position on this bike.
Navigation and data comes over the incredible @coros_dach DURA.
My kit as always is @7meshinc and their guardian rain gear will be able to show why it’s best in the industry here I fear. 😅
Shoes will be @quocshoes GT XC, glasses @albaoptics and helmet the ridiculous @kask_sport nirvana.
Oh and lights. They will come from @bbbcycling. 🙌
All tools and spares are basically @silca_velo.

Ok too much to put all of it in here! For more details and some more insights as well as tracking for the race please head over to my setup article on @gravgrav.cc! You’ll find the link in my bio!

Does this jersey come in a baggy version? 😂 thanks @wsbaracing @bell.lap.bike for the fun state champs! Now for something completely different at Sea Otter. Stoked to shoot WynTv and caravan down with @blueprint.athlete.development Been having a ton of fun riding the 32 on the Ripmo and now a Stumpy Evo. Could be the move for sea otter enduro?

I’ve got a weird bike fit.

I have to sit further back than most. I’ve used a setback seat post to fix this in the past, but working with @englishcycles on this gravel build, I wanted to include a dropper post… and @rockshox do not make a setback dropper post. Even with Rob putting the seat post angle a bit slacker, we didn’t quite get there on my weird fit.

But the cool thing about cycling nerd-ery is that someone has almost always seen the problem before, and sometimes even innovated a solution for it. @fair_bicycle are a Swiss company who created a really elegant component to solve this problem for dropper posts. I just got their Drop Best AXS fitted this past week and it’s a classy piece of kit that helps my weird fit! Thanks, folks!
