3 published books in 3 years … baby Fallon could’ve never imagined this for herself, in all the days she spent tucked behind a computer screen, pouring out book after book as fast as her fingers and imagination could manage. So devoted to these incredible worlds and storylines she’d damaged her eyes to the point of needing laser eye treatment to restore her rapidly declining vision. (We’re 30 long novellas and 15 novels in 6 years … on top of being an honor roll student 😮‍💨😭)
Books have always been a part of me. Vital as air. And none had presented a greater challenge than this one. FOTS is the deepest I’ve ever gone into myself—it’s more than ink and paper. It’s my blood and deepest fears etched onto the page.
Blessed and grateful is an understatement, but proud is one I can’t overlook or emphasize enough.
This book speaks to tenacity, to determination, to the days I faced continuous ridicule and discouragement from ppl who were supposed to be my greatest supporters and instead were my greatest opps.
To those who nurtured this dream along side me — thank you.
And those who doubted? Who shamed and sneered? You made me resilient, you made me fierce, and you taught me in the end the only way to give birth to a dream is to carve it out with your own two hands.
And I’m just getting started.

As an author, it’s important to take time to celebrate all the wins. And this glowing review from THE @kirkus_reviews is a big one for me (personally and professionally). Especially since the book in question is one that has occupied so much of my life and was derived from a deeply personal place born from guilt, fear and loss all wrapped up in childhood wounds and generational trauma. Something I think many of us understand all too well.
But before Kirkus, I had my community — a circle of loved ones/fellow writers who championed me fiercely and kept me going on the days the weight of rejection grew too heavy to carry I didn’t believe I had it in me to take another solitary step.

I am so grateful to the fantastic team at @podiumentertainment for believing in FOTS and for the incredibly rewarding experience I’ve had in this collaboration. As I fire away on drafting book two, I am overwhelmed and so proud seeing how the journey is unfolding and I can’t wait for Nimah and her band of ‘space pirate grannies’ to arrive in the world on April 1, 2025. by @fallondemornay

FINALLYYYYY I get to scream from the rooftops!!
My FIREFLY meets GOLDEN GIRLS space opera is coming to print/audio for 2024.
✨✨✨
While this book wa ssooooo much fun to write, it also was an emotional journey into myself. When they say write what you know — those words took on a depth I hadn’t explored in a long time. But in 2018 my paternal grandmother died, and due to strained familial ties I was forced to be estranged from my paternal side. And even though I had the opportunity to reopen the door in my late twenties, I still never got the chance to meet her.
Why? Because I was a coward. I was too afraid to cross the distance between us, when I could have, and confront some pretty deep seated childhood trauma in the process.
I kept telling myself — I don’t have to unpack those bags right now, I’ll get to it eventually, there’s time. I have time.
Until there wasn’t.
And I’ve never felt more regret or shame than I did the day I got the call that she’d passed and time was gone.
This book was a confrontation of my guilt and regret and an apology to the woman I should’ve been brave enough to confront my deepest fears in order to reconnect with. I’ll never get that chance again, but I learned the importance of being brave even in moments where you’re truly weakest. And to never again take for granted the impermanence of time.
All we have is now.
So seize every moment you can and live with no regrets.
To Grandma Maude, I hope this makes you smile and know that I even if I never took the chance, I carry you with me always.
And for those who read this book — I hope you come to love it as much as I do 🙌🏽✨✨✨ by @fallondemornay

How’s it going?!!
Oh — fantastic. I’ve only written half a dozen new beginnings to find the right point to “start” my story only to hate it and launch it into the sun while head banging my desk and eating my feelings. How about you? 🫠🫠😂
But that’s okay. This is the beauty of the process (and what separates art from AI). Sometimes we have to tell the story the wrong way before we can find the right way forwards. And after many failed attempts—and staring into the abyss—I think I’ve finally cracked it.
