Rich Medina gets into one of those nightlife stories that sounds made up until you remember the person at the center of it was Prince. No announcement. No entourage spectacle. Just two security guards checking the booth, disappearing, and coming back with one of the most gifted musicians to ever live standing behind them in full Prince mode. For the next 30 minutes, every tap of that crystal cane became a quiet cosign from someone whose talent, discipline, and presence were on another level. Some artists enter a room. Prince changed the atmosphere of it.Watch the full episode of Just the Tip for the full conversation.Thank you to our sponsors:@rooftopsolutions@brodsoninc@socialmedia.sage by @fandbmiami

Ignacio Garcia-Menocal gets into what people miss when they look at a project like Regatta Harbour and assume somebody simply found a waterfront property and signed a lease. In Miami, many of the most desirable waterfront sites are controlled by the city. That means public bids, commission approval, a referendum, and a full campaign just to earn the right to move forward. Grove Bay was already roughly a million dollars into the process before the project was even secured. That is the difference between liking a concept and understanding the machinery required to make it real. The location may look effortless once it opens, but the risk, capital, and political process start years before the first customer walks in.Watch the full episode of Just the Tip for the full conversation.Thank you to our sponsors:@rooftopsolutions@brodsoninc@socialmedia.sage by @fandbmiami

Shrinkflation is not a theory. It is a documented business strategy and fast food chains are running it on some of their most iconic items right now.McDonald's Big Mac patties are now thinner than the pickle on the burger. Customers have the photos. Wendy's chicken nuggets shrank 18% in one year. Someone actually weighed them. Five Guys built their whole brand on overflowing fries and switched to paper bags that no longer overflow. Burger King officially reduced nugget orders from 10 to 8 and put it in a corporate filing as an inflation offset. Raising Cane's, a chain that sells only chicken fingers, is being called out for fingers that have nearly halved in size.None of these chains announced the changes. None of them lowered the price. The CEO of a major snack company literally described shrinkflation as the path to higher margins, not a response to hardship. Corporate food profits rose five times faster than inflation between 2020 and 2022. This is not about survival. It is about what they can get away with when nobody is watching closely enough.Which one have you noticed? by @fandbmiami

After more than 10 successful years in North Miami Beach, Tatore, Cucina di Famiglia is officially ready for its second location 🍕 🍝Known as one of South Florida’s most beloved restaurants, Tatore has built a loyal following through authentic cuisine, consistency, and the kind of neighborhood staying power that is getting harder and harder to find. Tatore is currently seeking 2,500 to 3,000 square feet in a high-visibility, high-traffic location, with a patio preferred, second-generation restaurant space preferred, and strong lunch and dinner demographics. Ample parking is also preferred. Current target areas include Midtown Miami and Weston.___At the same time, Tatore Gelato is actively expanding as well 🍦What started as the signature dessert at Tatore Restaurant has grown into a concept of its own. Crafted from authentic Italian family gelato recipes passed down through two generations, Tatore Gelato quickly built its own loyal following, leading to the successful opening of its first standalone location in Miami Beach. Tatore Gelato is currently seeking 800 to 1,000 square feet in prime retail locations with high walk-in pedestrian traffic, strong street visibility, and ideally outdoor seating. Preferred areas include Brickell, Wynwood, Design District, Coconut Grove, and Coral Gables. Two different concepts. Two different footprints. Same momentum.F+B Hospitality is proud to exclusively represent the brand in its search for the right opportunity to continue that success. If you have a site that fits either opportunity, send it over. For more information or to submit a site: julieta@fandbleasing.com by @fandbmiami

Alex Ringleb talks about a side of old Miami hospitality that people outside the business rarely saw.Back then, some operators did not just want to win. They wanted to make sure the place next door never had a shot. Competition was personal, strategic, and sometimes ruthless in a way that would surprise a lot of people today. This episode gets into how hard certain players protected their market, how much psychology was involved, and what restaurant competition looked like when real operators were fighting for every guest.Watch the full episode of Just the Tip for the full conversation.Thank you to our sponsors:@brodsoninc@socialmedia.sage by @fandbmiami

Miami’s restaurant industry is taking some hits right now. We’ve been getting more calls than usual from owners looking to sell, and unfortunately that means a lot of talented people are losing their jobs. Bartenders. Servers. Line cooks. Sous chefs. Baristas. Managers. If we can help even one person land their next job, it’s worth it.Tag a restaurant that’s hiring. Tag someone who’s looking for work. Let’s keep Miami’s hospitality family moving. ❤️🍽️ by @fandbmiami

Norman Van Aken reflects on the culinary people who shaped the way he thinks, cooks, and moves through this business. What makes this conversation hit is that it is not just about famous names. It is about influence. Technique, generosity, discipline, curiosity, movement, and the kind of mentorship that stays with you long after the lesson ends. That is the real thread running through all five. This conversation is really about how great culinary careers are never built alone. They are shaped by the people who expand your vision and leave something in you that never goes away.Watch the full episode of Just the Tip for the full conversation.Thank you to our sponsors:@brodsoninc@socialmedia.sage by @fandbmiami

Fast food chicken is not just a trend. It is a strategy.McDonald’s made McCrispy Strips its first new permanent U.S. menu item since 2021. Taco Bell is openly building toward crispy chicken becoming permanent. And at the same time, beef prices are brutal, the cattle herd is tight, and every chain is trying to protect margin without making customers feel like they are getting downgraded. That is where the magic trick happens.Bread it. Sauce it. Brand it. Make it limited time. Call it innovation. The customer sees a new crispy chicken item. The chain sees a cheaper protein with better menu flexibility. So be honest. Are fast food chains giving people what they want, or are they training us to pay more for what works better for their margins? by @fandbmiami

Rich Medina never treated DJing like a side hustle. It was the thing that made him feel alive while the corporate world was slowly draining him.The job was stable, the work was manageable, and the money was there. None of that mattered if the life attached to it felt restrictive. What gave him the confidence to leave was not some fantasy about chasing passion. It was knowing he had a real skill, a way to earn, and a family willing to back him when he stepped on the gas. This conversation is about recognizing when security has become a set of golden handcuffs and having the conviction to build around the thing you were actually made to do.Watch the full episode of Just the Tip for the full conversation.Thank you to our sponsors:@brodsoninc@socialmedia.sage by @fandbmiami

Michael Beltran gets into why outside restaurant groups lose him the second they walk into Miami acting like the city has nothing to teach them. The food can be good. The service can be sharp. None of that changes the bigger issue. If the attitude is that Miami should be grateful you showed up, people should question why they keep lining up to support it.This conversation is really about respect for the city, the operators already here, and the culture that made Miami worth entering in the first place. Great restaurants do not just drop in with a famous name. They understand where they are.Watch the full episode of Just the Tip for the full conversation.Thank you to our sponsors:@rooftopsolutions@brodsoninc@socialmedia.sage by @fandbmiami

Arnon Magal gets into what he thinks is the real reason so many restaurants fail in Miami.High rent gets blamed for everything, but his point is sharper than that. A bad concept in the wrong neighborhood is dead on arrival, no matter how badly the operator wants it to work. Too many people build around their own idea instead of asking what the area actually needs. This episode is really about discipline, market fit, and why the smartest operators do not start with their ego. They start with the neighborhood.Watch the full episode of Just the Tip for the full conversation.Thank you to our sponsors:@brodsoninc@socialmedia.sage by @fandbmiami
