The pro debut couldn’t have gone any better.
Of course, winning is always the goal, but if we won all the time, what would become of the satisfaction of winning in the first place. I know I can be better, and that’s perfectly fine by me.
There are other ways I feel that I’ve won. This show reminded me not only how much I love the sport, but how much I love it changing other people’s lives.
This was the first show I was able to come to with a “squad” of sorts where I felt like this wasn’t just my solo venture. @aiden_pick @lusty_liftss @ahronleibowitz @ironjed all trusted my judgement when recommending them do this show, and having 5 young competitors altogether is more fun than I would have imagined.
I had a several hour long conversation with @schwarzenxgga and @toitanekundayo that completely flipped my mindset on so many things (i will go into this in a video), but most importantly lit up a hell of a lot of excitement for the growth of the natural divisions. Pro tip: stuff yourself with sushi until it’s hard to walk - it makes for the best conversations.
Another “win” resulting from this weekend is that i now have to do another show to qualify for @benweidernaturals , the next closest being Sept 19th in Georgia. Not only will this mean I get to compete with another young competitor I’ve been looking forward to stepping on stage with, but also my grandmother may finally be able to see me on stage as well, which would mean so much win or lose.

I’ve also got to thanks the boys in red at @musclemeds_carnivor
They picked me up when I was just barely getting through my first season, and whatever potential they saw in me early on, it seems they were right. Almost more than the supplements, that has given me an advantage and drive to do more.

More to come

And new IFBB Pro…

A couple years ago I never would have thought I could make it this far in this amount of time, and at the time, I had no idea the mounds of support and drive I would receive for so many people would be.

It’s undeniable I’ve been dealt a great hand being able to work with the best in the business in my father, which has opened doors to many opportunities I’m blessed to have. The people who have stood by me throughout the beginning of this journey with me deserve all the credit, this couldn’t have been done without them, and the list goes on for a veryyyyy long time. Whether you trained with me, taught me, encouraged me, or even simply believed in me, I owe this accomplishment to you.

I used to think bodybuilding was mainly an individual sport. Now I know that couldn’t be further from the truth. We all make sacrifices to present our best on stage, not just the competitor. What’s shown on show day is the culmination of all the determination, dedication, passion, and work of the bodybuilder, paired with the belief, love, and hope of the people around them.

This sport is all about pushing ourselves further than the day before, but to look forward we have to look back and reflect on where we’ve been, and heed the guidance of those that came before. This is the first major victory of mine in a career I hope and expect to carry on to new heights in the future, and I won’t forget the people that helped make this happen. The one thing I hope for is that you all continue to stay by my side, and for that, I will continue to strive to be the very best I can.

*I wanted to add so many tags until I realized there was a 20 tag limit. I wish I could get everyone and there would be like 50, but if you’ve supported me in any way, in which there are so many, please know I’m think of you🙏🏽 by @farid_bma

Lateral raises first to warmup the shoulder, and side delt are much more of a priority.
All shoulder movements first because arms first can hinder the shoulder movements. A second lateral raise exercise at the end is sometimes included.

The unfortunate truth is that I haven’t been able to squat or press in quite a while because of a minor knee injury, so every leg day has essentially bet glute and ham focused. Leg days usually are the most “boring” for me because I view them as a parallel to arms which to me is also “boring” but having no squats and presses in my lifts has really turned that up a notch.

Calf Raises: 3x10-12
Adductors: 3x8-12
Seated Leg Curl: 3x8-10
Leg Extension: 3x8-10
Hip Thrust: 3x10-12
Hip Extension: 3x8-10
