Today we dip into the Farpoint Recordings catalogue to revisit one of our most striking releases.

Deep inside Sellafield Nuclear Power Plant, in environments too toxic for human hands, remote robots work to dismantle radioactive tanks.

Visual artist Brian Duggan and composer David Bremner captured this unseen world in Demonstrable Progress, a project pairing original underwater tank footage with a quasi-Impressionist composition for piano four hands.

To capture the eerie movement of the robots underwater, the music blends impressionistic textures with distorted tones to mirror the murky depths of the site.

Limited First Edition Vinyl Details:
• Single sided 12” on limited edition transparent orange vinyl
• Housed in a heavy clear PVC sleeve with folded art and text inserts
• Strictly limited to just 200 copies
• Includes high-quality digital download and unlimited Bandcamp streaming

We’ve uploaded a clip on our website so you can experience this haunting soundscape (plus link in bio):

"Necromancer reawakens the dead not only to have them speak of the past as a form of exorcism, but as the Epilogue reminds us, while also taking into account the high human cost in a world where there is still no shortage of war and conflict, peace is the only effective way of exorcising those demons." writes Noel Megahey in his review of the new Ian Wilson album in Opera Journal.
