First cyclocross race of the season. New age group = racing older kids and racing longer races. Ivy raced brilliantly and really dug in when it got tough! So proud of her - she looked so strong 💪🏻 big group of the triathlon squad racing today, all pushing each other to be better 😍 by @fat2fyn

We’ve got the right men in charge … but in the wrong sports! Who wants to see England attack in the next Euros playing Baz Football? Or Thomas Tuchel picking an Ashes batting line up that has 6 defensive players? #engvarg #bazballcricket #worldcup #cricket by @fat2fyn

Mallory Park Junior Series Triathlon.
Possibly Ivy’s best performance so far. 2nd place finish doesn’t tell the full story. She lead out of the swim, biked well, holding a gap to 3rd and 4th who are great cyclists and then got overtaken on the run but battled back to reclaim 2nd. It was hot 🥵 out there and she raced it beautifully. Really happy for her 💛💜 by @fat2fyn

This beauty of a shirt arrived in the post today from @lennoxjayden and will take pride of place on the wall in my office.
Jayden came to the UK as an 18 year old to play cricket for my club. He came from @techcricket1921 , the club I played for in NZ at a similar age.
Jayden was a talented kid who was having a life experience before returning home to get on with adulthood. But he had something too good to ignore. Hard to say what it was but I knew he had to give it a shot. Some tough words and advice were given and he returned the following year - fit and with a new belief. It was a tough season at the club that year but he shone. He showed maturity and an abundance of skill.
He returned to NZ and things didn’t happen immediately but he worked hard, he continued to believe and he eventually got his chance. He became a professional cricketer.
But he didn’t stop there. He developed his game, he dedicated himself to being a student of the game and he was patient. This year he was finally selected for his country aged 31 and toured both India and Bangladesh , starring in those famous series.
Im so proud of Jayden. He is proof that class always wins in the end and he has grown up into one of the nicest men you could ever meet. I’m honoured to receive his playing shirt from his ODI international debut in Bangladesh .
Congratulations Jayden on a fantastic career so far and I have no doubt there is still more to come!

What a phenomenal venue @beachboroughandbrackleytri 😮

The support, organisation, and course was a real treat today. Perfect weather conditions as well 👌

The EVT crew did so well and Lara found that she does actually love the bike 🚲💨

2nd tri race down for Lara and I think she’ll be training hard to improve her placing 💪 11th in gender narrowly missing a top 10 finish by 20 seconds, and 38th overall from 83 in TS2

Great to watch all of the contenders today 🤓

Ivy took a hard fought 4th place at Lenches junior Tri. Dropped chain on the bike course three times (Dads fault 🫣 ) but each time she fixed it herself and got back on. Really proud of her managing the situation and channeling her frustration into a great run!! Finished 3 seconds off the podium. Great effort considering!! 💪🏻 by @fat2fyn
