Another great race from Lara today at @darleymoorsportscentre with @evt_juniors

Duathlon today, running 1,600m, bike 5km, and run 600m to finish. Her running was right up there with her peers, and even though there’s work to be done on the bike and transitions, she’s really starting to find a little more confidence each race.

Absolutely smashed it today and I couldn’t be prouder of you and the hard work you put in. 🥰😍💪

What a phenomenal venue @beachboroughandbrackleytri 😮

The support, organisation, and course was a real treat today. Perfect weather conditions as well 👌

The EVT crew did so well and Lara found that she does actually love the bike 🚲💨

2nd tri race down for Lara and I think she’ll be training hard to improve her placing 💪 11th in gender narrowly missing a top 10 finish by 20 seconds, and 38th overall from 83 in TS2

Great to watch all of the contenders today 🤓

Proud of our girl! Her first triathlon in the bag 💪

A complete suffer fest, knackered, mentally broken, and overwhelmed, but she had the best day with her @evt_juniors, got the job done, and learned loads for her next race.

The look on her face on the bike, especially after falling off twice said she could have thrown the towel in, but she got back up again and again and soldiered through.

I know how quietly competitive Lara is, so I’ve no doubt she’ll want to come back and podium on another day.

Time to get to work @fat2fyn 🫡💪

there’s certain people who believe in you in times when no one else does, for most of my youth I had to believe in myself and apart from my parents and extended family there a few people who could see something in me..

Lee Ross was one of those few whether it was football or cricket, he saw in me what few others could and quickly became a mentor, coach & now a lifelong friend. I’m lucky to have not only his support but also the support of his lovely family on this journey ❤️ they have played a huge part in my journey to becoming the man you see today.

Two weeks ago today we set off from John O’Groats the most northerly point of the UK. Over 390 miles from the English border and unsure what to expect we journeyed onwards south.

It’s safe to say that Scotland 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 has thrown everything at us - wind, rain, boiling sun and those bloody hills & roads that felt like they were never ending but not only have we experienced the natural beauty of the Scottish landscape but we have also felt the love from the people, in their droves they have beeped their horns, cheered us on and stopped to talk about why we’re doing what we’re doing.

We owe a huge thanks to Team Ross (@fat2fyn) for sponsoring our crossing of the border and the official de-kilting ceremony.

We’ve had so much generosity in the way of donations and campsites offering free or discounted pitches. We cannot thank you all enough.

Now we’ve crossed the border, we’ve set our sights on a week from now, being in Worcester. The closest we’ll run to our hometown of Redditch 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿🧡 but we’ve still got 6 more ultra marathons to run before we can think about that.

Please keep the support flying in as we’re going to need it.
