I contributed a recipe for the prawn and tomato Arroz Caldo I served at my first supperclub! I’m really proud to have this recipe included^^ its rich, gingery, but the tomato and calamansi/lime cuts right through, before being topped by a juicy 🦐

@oliviaster takes over the @thearthouselive kitchen alongside @fatboyzine, at JOY 2026.

Olivia Sterling is a London-based painter and installation artist whose vivid, closely cropped canvases use slapstick humour to examine the quiet violence of racialised everyday life. At JOY, she joins FatBoy Zine for their Sweet Talk kitchen takeover - a natural pairing: food, conversation, and a sharp eye for how culture gets cooked up and served.

Olivia joins us at JOY as part of a packed, two-day programme featuring the likes of @hatsrichardson, @oof_gallery @anthonyburrill, @donnie_odonnell, @mam_sham_, and many more.

THANK YOU to everyone who came to St Giles Cripplegate this past weekend for the inaugural Food in Print Magazine Fair. It was a huge success! 🎉

We hope that lots of you discovered new titles to enjoy and had lovely catch-ups with so many readers, publishers and friends.

@luckyyubakery sold out in under two hours, and the fair was buzzing from start to finish. The appetite for food in print is alive and well!

BIG LIFE UPDATE! I’m so happy to finally share openly that after 10 years in the Music Industry im stepping away as a Creative Director and committing to FBZ full time! ❤️❤️🚨

It’s a huge and terrifying step but something I’ve been building towards for a long time:) it also means expanding a new side to FBZ that feels like a natural step. And that’s @fatboyzinestudio my creative production practice that can work on even more projects. From design, production, editorial, digital and motion! It’s a chance to work with people I admire and projects I’m passionate about.

INTRODUCING @fatboyzinestudio where ideas have guts. 🍾🍾🍾🍾

📕But, to be very honest and clear the Zine itself will not change. It’ll still be a place to talk about Asian food, identity and share art. It’ll stay affordable and driven by people and communities. It’ll still never have advertisers or sell out 🤢. Just everything I’ve learned and cared about in the zine can now inform all of my creative work:)

The studio is now open for commissions, collabs and projects so please say hi^^ 💕💕

And thank you to all the friends over the past month who supported me and kept me from going nuts or freaking out (too much) ❤️

9 days to go till the FOOD IN PRINT MAGAZINE FAIR! 📖💕

We’re so happy to announce the final lineup of incredible publishers and titles that will be exhibiting at the first FiPMF! Since we announced the fair last month, we have been overwhelmed by the response from publishers. We’re excited to say that we will now be joined by over 50 independent publications from the world of food and drink, not just from the UK but also from Europe, Australia, the US and Mexico, many of whom will be at the fair in person. From first-time publishers to cult favourites, from tiny, homemade zines to academic journals, these publications cover the gamut of what is going on within independent food media today.. If you’re coming down, you’re sure to find a new favourite title to take home.

The fair takes place at St. Giles Cripplegate in the Barbican from 11am-4pm on April 11th. There is no need to book. Thank you to all the publishers taking part, to @luckyyubakery who will be selling delicious baked goods, to @kimdoesmarketing who will be documenting the event, and to everyone who applied (here’s hoping we can make this an annual thing 👀)

FOOD IN PRINT MAGAZINE FAIR NEWS - @luckyyubakery 🥐

With the fair fast approaching (April 11th!) we’re excited to announce that Cantonese/British bakery @luckyyubakery will be joining us.

@hailinleung will be bringing her extraordinary bakes to St Giles Cripplegate so you can grab a pastry or two to eat while you browse. Recently named as one of Britain’s best bakeries in the Good Food Guide Top 50, Hai Lin is in demand!

In case you’ve somehow missed it, the Food in Print Fair is hosted by @fatboyzine @vittlesmagazine and @pitmagazineuk and will bring together independent food publications from around London and the rest of the UK.
