We hope you consider gifting a father you know, who may need some uplift, our co-founder’s book, Present: The Crisis of American Fatherhood and The Power of Showing Up, as a #FathersDay gift. He gave this piece his all. We are confident that the dads you know will find it both inspiring and helpful.

We’re building a National Fatherhood Directory—so fathers across the country can find support when they need it, wherever they are.

Because of this community:

🔹 14 states represented
🔹 28% complete
🔹 36 states to go

Our goal is bold—but necessary:

👉🏾 At least one father-serving organization in all 50 states

Right now, too many fathers still don’t know where to turn.

We’re calling on organizations in states like:

Illinois, Michigan, Pennsylvania, Ohio, New Jersey, Virginia, Washington—and many more—to join us.

✔️ Free to be featured
✔️ Open to all organizations
✔️ Built to connect fathers to real support

Be a resource fathers can find.

If you’re not an organization, share this post—you might help us reach someone who is.

The future of mental health care depends on who we invest in today.

We are excited to announce that new research highlighting Fathers' UpLift's work to expand the pipeline of Black and Brown therapists has officially been published in the Social Work in Mental Health journal!

The study examines our United States Therapist Recruitment Fellowship and offers encouraging findings about how intentional investment in emerging clinicians can strengthen clinical confidence and readiness.

The barriers are real. The work is tough. But our commitment remains resolute.

We celebrate our co-authors, @drdanielsjr and Dr. Esteban Barreto, our dedicated team, our Fellows, and the funders and partners who continue to make this work possible.

Mental health equity isn't just about who receives care. It's also about who has the opportunity to provide it.

This publication is an important milestone in our ongoing commitment to building a more representative and prepared mental health workforce.

We're proud to welcome one of our very own leaders, Ashley Beal, to The Check Up Zone!

As we prepare for our National Fatherhood & Family Wellness Summit in Cincinnati, we're excited for participants to hear from Ashley and learn from her experience as a therapist and leader.

Ashley brings a wealth of experience providing therapy to Black men, supporting their healing, personal growth, and reconnection with their children, families, and communities.

Beyond her clinical work, Ashley plays an important role in cultivating the next generation of therapists of color, helping prepare emerging professionals to serve communities with compassion, cultural understanding, and excellence.

At Fathers' UpLift, we believe healing creates opportunities for reconnection, and strong leadership helps make that healing possible.

Ashley, thank you for your leadership, dedication, and the care you bring to this work every day! We're grateful to have you on our team and excited for others to experience the wisdom and perspective you bring to this important conversation.

🎓 Meet the 2026–2027 USTR Fellowship Class!

The future of social work is here—and we’re proud to invest in it.
Fathers’ UpLift is excited to introduce and congratulate the nine emerging social work professionals joining our 2026–2027 United States Therapist Recruitment (USTR) Fellowship Cohort!

Representing universities across the country, these Fellows will spend the year strengthening their skills through hands-on experience, mentorship, individual and group supervision, and intentional licensure preparation.

Our goal is bigger than preparing students to graduate. We want to help prepare the next generation of behavioral health leaders to thrive—and to serve families and communities well.

To our 2026–2027 Fellows: Welcome to the Fathers’ UpLift family. We are excited about what lies ahead! 💙💛

We’re celebrating our CEO! 💙💛

Fathers’ UpLift Co-Founder & CEO Dr. Charles C. Daniels, Jr. has been named a 2026 Distinguished Alumni Emerging Leader by Boston University School of Theology.

Dr. Daniels’ time at BU helped deepen a belief that continues to shape his leadership and our work:

Faith must move us toward people.

Toward healing.
Toward justice.
Toward love.
Toward service.

On Wednesday, Dr. Daniels will return to his alma mater to accept this distinguished honor.

We’re proud to celebrate this moment and the continued work of helping fathers heal, reconnect, and rise.

Join us in congratulating Dr. Daniels! 💙💛
