I spotted a Beautiful Demoiselle (Calopteryx virgo) during this year’s Global GeoARTBlitz. I spent a blissful 66 minutes under the shade of a tree by a lake (one of a series of high water flooding reservoirs) I’d driven by a hundred times. A quite busy place with lots of nature to observe! Loved every moment.🍃 @rgs_ibg @roseannhanson #geoartblitz #geoartblitz2026 #naturejournal taken in Hochwasserrückhaltebecken Diebskarrenbach by @fathom.it.studios

Opening Reception
Friday, July 10, 5–7 pm
w/ all the artists that are participating in the show (I'm unable to attend).

Three Monterey Bay pieces, hanging together in Carmel.

I’m delighted to have work included in LOOK CLOSER, a group exhibition celebrating scientific illustration at the Carl Cherry Center for the Arts.

Monterey Bay shaped both my life and my work, so having prints of these three shown close to home feels especially meaningful — a baby Great White Shark painted for Monterey Bay Aquarium’s Sharks: Myth and Mystery exhibit, and two works from the Monterey Bay National Marine Sanctuary’s Threatened and Thriving poster series. @carlcherrycenter

FATHOM iT! Plankton | I've been nerding out on plankton since a class my senior year in college, I love to see them, draw them every chance I get. I also rescue stranded plankton from beaches and created a Plankton Rescue shirt for the cause. Plankton Nerd Alert. Scratchboard and ink. by @fathom.it.studios

I'm back in London, standing on the shoulders of my favorite polar explorers at the @rgs_ibg Explore Weekend — the Royal Geographical Society’s annual exploration community gathering, dedicated to expedition and field project planning. 🧭🌍

It's a unique gathering of over 100 leading explorers, field practitioners, and expedition professionals—a weekend packed with inspiration, practical advice, and lifelong connections. 🗺️💡🤝

Hope to see you there!
