Running 26.2 miles is certainly a choice… that should be etched into history forever🏅✍🏽

Thanks so much to the wonderful @stregischicago team for the opportunity to engrave medals for their guests who traveled from near and far to participate in the @chimarathon. Marathoners loved being able to have their medals personalized with their race times without having to stand in the traditional long lines… and who can blame them?!

It’s the thoughtful unexpected touches like these, that takes an already personal moment and makes it mean even more.

@lauragellerbeauty popped up in Chicago, and it was a pleasure to offer live engraving at a private influencer event, they held at the picturesque @barlarue in the West Loop.

The event kicked off their first Chicago pop-up shop at @900shops and also celebrated the launch of their first ever fragrance Tuscan Sun, which by the way, smells lovely!

Let’s play a little game 👀

Three pieces. Three different approaches:

🌟 One was drafted with guidelines only.
🌟 One was drafted with both guidelines + the lettering
🌟One was completely freehand

Drafting leaves room to work through spacing, placement and centering before committing to the final lettering. But live events don’t always offer that kind of time.

Sometimes there’s time for a full draft. Sometimes just a quick guideline. And sometimes, it’s straight to lettering.

The fun part? You actually shouldn’t be able to tell which approach was used.

Today I turn 40.

I had the opportunity to celebrate this milestone exploring new cities, experiencing incredible art, architecture, history and culture. I filled my camera roll with details, textures, colors, stories, and craftsmanship. The kind of things that remind me why I love creating in the first place.

This year reinforced something I’ve learned again and again: doing hard things has a way of expanding us.

Every challenge, risk, detour, and new experience gives us something to carry forward. A new perspective. A new idea. A new way of seeing the world.

As I enter this next decade, I’m feeling grateful for the experiences that pushed me beyond what was familiar and inspired by what comes next.

I’m also deeply grateful for the people who have encouraged me, supported me, challenged me, trusted my work, and cheered me on through the many versions of myself that brought me here. Thank you for being part of the journey.

Ready to keep learning, keep growing, and most importantly, keep creating.

Hey, Y’all! 👋🏽

Yesterday we wrapped up our leg of the @visitsavannah activation at @fly2ohare Airport. Across the span of 9 events, we had the pleasure of talking to hundreds of travelers and flight crew members about Savannah and customizing nearly 1200 luggage tags. It was also a pleasure to meet @mayorjohnsonsav during his visit to Chicago.

It was so special connecting with calligrafriends @gertiescalligraphy, @nerissabcalligraphy, @magnolialettersco, @calligraphybyct, @meaningfulletters_ and @meghansmark for this activation. While our dates have wrapped, the experience will continue, in Terminal 3, through May 24th with a few familiar faces there through the final days.

A tremendous thanks to Visit Savannah, @engageresonate and @hype_influenceragency for trusting us to be a part of this experience.

For a recent Intellivo speakeasy-themed evening at @vol39chicago, engraved flasks gave guests something to gather around and engage with beyond introductions and business cards. Inside @adalinaprime, the most beautiful shower for @jadeeejones came together with champagne flowing throughout the room, guests gathering around the bride-to-be, and heart-shaped mirrors engraved as keepsakes so everyone could feel the love and leave with something that reflects it.

Somewhere between a scent and a memory is a sacred place.

It was a privilege to celebrate with our family, @memoirfragrances, for the launch of their new Flagship Boutique inside @recycledmodern and the release of their newest scent, Sanktuary.

Before a single piece was personalized, there was that familiar spark of energy. It signals something special is about to unfold, much like the moments before you fill the air with Sanktuary. It is of those scents that settles gently, like a diamond drill dancing lightly on a bottle with calligraphy. There’s a quality to it that’s inviting and personal. Sanctuary is the kind of scent that doesn’t sit on you, it wraps you in an embrace.

That’s what made this launch feel special. It wasn’t about a moment that peaks and disappears, but something that stays. Our activation moved in step with that, engraving each piece as an extension of the experience, giving guests something to hold onto.

We were invited to the @showpad Chicago office to bring a luggage tag activation to life. It was a lively group and a lot of the team had traveled in from overseas. With departures around the corner, the tags weren’t keepsakes for later, they were also being put to use almost immediately.

This is what kept people lined up for personalization. The item made sense and the activation met people exactly where they were.
