🖤✨ANNOUNCING✨🖤

I'm stepping out and playing a series of solo sets across the pond next month! Opening for my old foil BONNIE 'PRINCE' BILLY @wignifier

I will also join Will for his set for more of the run, including the @brooklynfolkfest on Nov. 8th & Glasgow, Scotland Nov. 15th.
We will be playing some songs from our 2006 album: THE LETTING GO, plus our Nashville Everly Brothers tribute, and many from his vast catalog. Always a profound pleasure to ride alongside Will & his muse, not to mention his mind ! Every venue on this run is elegant, sonic SPLENDOUR- I am looking forward to this treat! by @faun.fables

::✨AVAILABLE NOW✨:: Faun Fables 'THE TRANSIT RIDER' re-released on VINYL✨:: 🖤Order link in bio🖤

Before YouTube, before social media...this gal in her babooshka, shawl & suitcase arrived on the transit system with her questions and songs.. The Transit Rider was a surreal and inspired piece of theater & song that travelled around the country, starting with this elaborate show in SAN FRANCISCO in 2002.

DRAG CITY RECORDS released the soundtrack in 2006 by the time many of the songs were well established in the ears of the audiences, but on compact disc only.

Now to celebrate The Transit Rider's 20th birthday, they've released it on vinyl with vibrant new packaging..
and we will continue to share from the vaults more never before seen footage from the live shows in 2002--2006. . STAY TUNED, the transit rider rides again !✨

Thank you Dan K, Dan O & everyone at Drag City Records💦

🦋🌸🦋A bright sweet light, from my earliest memories of childhood . . whenever I was suspect of her aesthetic all I had to do was hear her voice, her laughter, her sense of humor, to see what incredible light she actually possessed. Learning her humble beginnings put her flamboyance and bright charm in the best of spirit . . later I dug into her songwriting and was stunned . My girls & I have been riding the happiest waves in recent years with her presence; her songs, films, interviews, books. I think of her in the dark hours when I need to be reminded of how to be a bright woman filled with heart - - kind of like a quick shot of medicine- - she will remain on my altar of bright saints! THANK YOU song-angel, we will all ride the melody of your laughter and songs and bright celebration of life forever ! The best homage would be to sit down and write a song about any thought / feeling / impression I've had today.. and just at any ole place, just like Dolly🦋🌸🦋

The Transit Rider album combines Faun Fables’ distinctive songtelling style with their full-hearted/throated thespian energies, rumbling trippily past flashing lights and strangers in thirteen exquisite folk-cabaret urban anthems, a pungent masterpiece of 21st century folk rock. Available on vinyl for the first time, out this Friday! Pre-order at the link in our bio. by @faun.fables

Remember that time you fell asleep on the train and the other riders told you that not only did you miss your stop, but that it might not even exist? No? Well, back in 2006, Faun Fables wrote this album/musical to remind you how it went down, and it’s now available on LP for the first time ever! More info at the link in our bio. by @faun.fables
