48 hours in: Marinating. Recalibrating. Resurfacing.

Ironman race day can be both the longest and the fastest day of your life.

More to come as I unpack that paradox. For now, here's the day in 45secs.

This year, rebuilding my body often felt like trying to restore it back to factory settings - so I decided not to focus on my gaps, but on my greatest strength: Let my mind do the heavy lifting.

One more thing that's been sitting with me over these last 48 hours: gratitude.

Together, we've raised over $2,500 to help make mammograms more accessible and equitable. Every person who donated, shared the fundraiser, cheered from afar, or believed in this mission helped make this race bigger than a finish line. Thank you. 💚🤍

If this story resonates with you and you'd like to be part of the impact, the fundraiser is STILL till open. Every contribution helps us move one step closer to a future where more women have access to life-saving breast cancer screening 🙏 Link in bio.

An Ironman hands out plot twists like race gels. Yesterday, I held tight to the one reason to keep me going — until we crossed that finish line.

Huge respect and love to everyone racing, especially all my friends, who put in months of work to toe the start line and gave it their all. This beautiful, brutal sport is equal parts grit and gamble.

Massive thanks to my coach Eric, my family, and my friends — and to the absolute maniacs who traveled just to scream their lungs out for hours, only to catch a 10-second glimpse of me. You didn’t just cheer, you endured!

Much to respond to (thanks for your patience while I find my bearings), and more details to follow. For now — a few highlights from swim/bike/run and a slice of that delicious finish line…

For this Ironman, powered by two homes and one relentless heart 🇵🇰 ❤️‍🔥 🇨🇦

When the artist is a VIBE, offering just a tribute feels limiting.
Cue: Sufi edition. Main-character energy was warranted. And duly delivered. 🎤 ✨

Triathlete tourists visit HYROX. 🧳😂
Lesson: Never say never
Verdict: Respectfully… I’d rather do a triathlon. 🫣

Ironman tells me it’s my 5th Ironversary🥹

Five years since my first full Iron-distance triathlon.

There have been countless lessons along the way. But these are the five I keep coming back to — the ones that have stayed with me.

Showing up. Believing. Beginning. Becoming.

To every person who has cheered, coached, encouraged, enabled and believed along the way — this is yours too

Swipe through, with love 🤍

I choose a word each year instead of a resolution. This year, it was REBUILD.

Funny how a word can find you exactly where you need it.

I’ve returned to this picture a lot this year. My last swim before I delivered Zoey and then my first time racing 9 months after. It reminds me of a time when I had to rebuild—and find the courage to believe in possibility again.

It also takes me back to a year when my birthday challenge was, coincidentally, raising funds for that very same mammography room, as construction on the hospital began, in partnership with @sportsinpakistan 💚

And now, seeing that vision come to life — with the mammography room set to be completed by December 2026 — feels incredibly full circle.

This picture reminds me: stumbling blocks can become stepping stones. Sometimes, the difference is simply what we choose to build from them.

One final call to honor my commitment: I’m closing out my birthday challenge tonight, just shy of my $3,500 goal. If you’ve been meaning to contribute or share, consider this a little nudge, with lots of love 💚

Grateful for every bit of support. 🙏🏽

Apparently I forgot my birthday was tomorrow and showed up for a birthday ride a day early (time-warp is real!) 😂🚴🏽‍♀️

No Garmin. No route. No tracking how much time had elapsed. No idea how far. Just showed up. Sometimes there’s beauty in being blissfully unaware—just spinning, giggling, and catching a gorgeous sunrise. ✨

Di(ana) even threw in a surprise zinger: an 18% downhill… only to climb it right back up. 😵‍💫 I SHAMELESSLY walked it. ✋️😎Definitely an un-dig-deep day. 😂 But now, I feel we have unfinished business there. DAMMIT. 😬😉

A week after the race, 40km felt LONG. 🤭 But, thanks to the girls, I'm back on the saddle and I’ll take it—one more (actual) birthday ride to do, an excuse for one more sunrise to catch, and one more reminder that sometimes the best rides are the ones you don’t plan 💜🌞💙

Medal Monday for a big family weekend.
The biggest medal? A cheer squad that poured their souls even while mother nature poured its heart out ☔️ and enabled journeys and execution for goals they made their own.
This is as much their's, as it is mine ❤️

There is much to unpack. More to follow. But it only feels right to start with the people who made it all possible.

P.S. It's August 🇵🇰, so I'm also kicking off 30 Days of Pakistani Music this month 😎. Some songs have fuelled my training, some take me back home, and some simply spark nostalgia. Whether you understand the words or not, I hope you'll find something that resonates. 🎶

Here we are. Few hours from starting. These shots have become a tradition with zoey and I've loved watching her grow with them. The day will be what it will be. But also, the day will be what we make it to be. Mother Nature has special plans and we didn't come this far to come this far. If you are considering to support my campaign for building an equitable mammography room, please click on the link in bio 🙏

I'm rolling with one of my favorite songs:

So what if life gets a little tangled
Think about it,
Even forests have a way through
Even we will find a way
Let's go. Let's go.
Trust will follow.

Cancer doesn't discriminate, and access to treatment shouldn't either.

As I prepare to race IRONMAN this Sunday, I'm proud to partner with @sportsinpakistan to show how sport can create impact far beyond the finish line.

Give me 90 seconds to learn why early detection matters and why I'm raising funds for @shaukatkhanum to help save lives.

Together, we can turn awareness into action and action into lives saved. Thank you for your support—whether you donate, share, or simply help spread the message. 💚

What does it take to become an Ironman?

It takes months of relentless training. Early mornings. Countless kilometers. Pushing through exhaustion when every muscle tells you to stop.

For Fauzia HM, it’s about more than crossing the finish line.

On 2 August 2026, she will take on the Ironman Canada Triathlon a grueling 3.8 km swim, 180 km bike ride, and 42.2 km marathon to help raise funds for a mammography room at the upcoming Shaukat Khanum Hospital, Karachi.

At Sports in Pakistan, we believe every race can create lasting impact. Together, our athletes are working toward a collective fundraising goal of USD 30,000 helping provide women with access to early breast cancer detection and life-saving care.

Every donation brings us one step closer.
