If you’re anything like me I came to college with a plan
I wanted to be known, I wanted people to know my name, I wanted the relationship, I wanted the followers, so that drove my involvement, the people I chose to interact with, and the way I presented myself
I was driven by pride and not Christ
You can get all the recognition and accolades but what profits a man to gain the world and loose his soul (Mark 8:36)

I had the mindset
that as long as I get it done,
they should be happy I even came,
Fake it till I make it
The lord wants to be involved in everything you do.
We don’t serve a mediocre God so why do things mediocrely
It’s a gift to pursue education so turn the chatgbt off and learn
It’s a gift to go to class so go on time and get off tik tok
It’s a gift to fellowship so don’t sit gossiping or building a roster spend time in things that matter
(Colossians 3:23)

We’ve heard it before
“ they got a verse in their bio but can’t quote it”
“ they got it tatted on them but don’t live by it”
“ The ones with the bible names be the worst ones”

The Lord isn’t asking for perfection, he is asking for a willing heart that he can work with. Let people see a heart that loves the Lord. When you become a believer your life isn’t just about you anymore, the way you live can lead someone toward Christ or away from him. Don’t let this feel like a weight on your shoulder but a mandate to know that in every opportunity you can lead someone to Christ

A lot of us get to college and we start to learn different things about ourselves, things we are really good at and passionate about. How beautiful would it be to use your platform, your creativity, your education to glorify the one that gave you the gifts

Our gifts aren’t for ourselves it’s for others to see
(Matthew 14:30)

When I got to college I grew to become passionate about the Lord I believe in and it’s been a beautiful ride.
Don’t be so driven by the power and revelation you will grow in that you loose love( 1 Corinthians 13), God being love is the foundation, the gifting, and the revelations, and the power all come from it . Ephesians 2:8-10 lets us know that the faith that we have isn’t from ourselves, by @fav.ari23

I’m a Christian

Welllllllll????….why?

Because I believe Jesus Christ died for me and rose up again so I can experience the life I don’t deserve through him

That’s cool… but do you believe in the power behind your why ?
That was the main thing that was challenged at my experience at camp.
You can know the right answer to a question but if the answer don’t change you then it doesn’t matter.
Knowing the why gets you on the path but believing in the power behind your why keeps you going.
It keeps you loving when it’s hard
It keeps you crying out and trusting he hears
It keeps your faith strong
It keep you pouring out of a cup that never runs out
It keeps your strength renewed when you wait on Jesus
It keeps you spreading a good news that set you free
It’s brings you to continuously overcome what Jesus Overcame

Kingdom minded
When we set our mind on Christ daily and choose to remember the cross. The Lords presence and acknowledgement of his goodness isn't just something we experience at a worship night or revival but something we reverence daily
Job 33:14 says that God speaks in one way and in two, though man does not perceive it
We can we just need to tune into the frequency he's on. Look for him in the little things then the big and you will see that he's always been there #christian by @fav.ari23

Never would've made it to 20 without the never ending love and mercies of God. Genuinely each day the Lord wakes us up is a reminder that he's not done with you. Today I rejoiced knowing that because he breathed into me I am still living, still joyful, and still praising. But it doesn't take a birthday to know that it takes a lifestyle. I thank the Lord so much for how far he's brought me and I can't wait for where he will continue to take me by @fav.ari23

Godly community, Godly friends, Bible believing church, and overall spiritual maturity.

Those were the things I prayed to God for in order to know that OU was the school for me and it's just like God to show up in ways I didn't expect. Not only did he provide me with those four things but he provided me with so much more.

I took my walk with God more seriously during quarantine but a big game changer in my faith was coming to college and having people around me that saw life the way I did, loved God the way I did and challenged me to know God more because with that now I have a community that prays for me, worships with me, and teaches me. This indeed led me to letting some friendships and communities go but ultimately Godly friends and community is very important because in 1 Corinthians 15:33 says " bad company corrupts good character" and in proverbs 13:20 says "he who walks with the wise will become wise for a companion of fools will suffer harm" Who you surround yourself with matters and they play a role in your spiritual life so it's not something that should be taken lightly.

Asking the Lord to reveal to you if your people are the best for your walk with God can be a hard conversation to have with him but it is beneficial. It's okay to leave some friends and communities you used to be apart of in order to further your intimate relationship with the Lord because the Lord will provide. And if you don't have any communities be the change. Be the friend and community you would want to have.

Prayer:
" Lord I glorify and magnify your name and I want to give you glory in all that I do. Please provide me with the friends and community that can help me further give you glory and expand your kingdom. Reveal to me people in my life that contaminate my walk and bring to me people that can lead to us sharpening each other and loving you more.I am so thankful that you love me and with that love I want to use it to love others. I give you all the glory, honor, and praise in Jesus name, Amen " by @fav.ari23
