I’ve been in denial

KAMP IS OVER… OVERLY (🤢)

I still don’t have all the words to describe what this summer meant me but I do have a few phrases and encouragements from the Lord that encapsulate what God did!

Gentleness is relinquishing control to a trustworthy God.

My value does not come from what I do or what I have or how I look. Rather my value comes from what He did, what He gave and how He looks at me.

I have the mind of Christ (1 Cor. 2:16h

Hype is a ministry (ALWAYS)

Zeal for my Fathers house it consumes (iykyk 🤪) (Ps. 69:9)

The Word written in my heart is the key to obedience to God (Ps. 119:11)

Community carries you (physically and spiritually) (Acts 2:42-47).

Gratitude is a weapon and comfort (Ps. 34:1)

Jesus is my companion

This was one of the most joyous, hypest summers I have ever had….

And the saddest ending to a summer too. My victory is knowing that God grew me amid suffering. I am not who I once was! Jesus saved my life HALLELUJAH!

When I say this has been the best summer I have served I mean it! Thank you to everyone that I got to meet and be blessed to interact with!!!!

“Lord, I’m expectant for what you are about to do, but I’m not sure what it is I’m expecting”

Almost three months ago I wrote that in my journal during staff training week. Now, upon coming home I’ve had countless people ask: “So, how was camp?”

To that, the only thing I can say is: I truly feel changed. The way that I love the Lord has changed and the way that I love His people because of the love that I have for Him has immensely changed.

If you know me, you know that I said no to this opportunity multiple times before saying yes. And just like @marwithpurpose said, “It’s amazing what the Lord can do with your yes.” This camp changed the way I approach obedience, submission, service, and abiding. How blessed am I to have been a vessel that God chose to bring His children back home? And how in awe am I to sit here and see that God answered countless prayers with my one yes?

Thank you Jesus for softening and molding me to be a better daughter after my Father’s own heart.
