I am incredibly honoured and grateful to have been crowned Miss Goa International 2026 👑 My heart is so full. Thank you to the organisers, judges, sponsors and everyone behind this wonderful platform for believing in me and giving me an opportunity I will never forget. To my family, friends and everyone who supported, encouraged, and believed in me throughout this journey this moment is just as much yours as it is mine 🥹 Wearing this crown means so much more than winning a title. It represents confidence, growth, responsibility and the courage to keep believing in yourself and your dreams. I am so proud to represent the beauty, culture, warmth and spirit of Goa on an international platform. On the 7th of September, I won my very first title Miss Goa International 👑🤍 What people saw on that stage was only a few minutes, but behind those few minutes were countless hours of hard work, training, dedication, nerves, laughter, exhaustion and so much love. And through every single part of that journey, I had my best friend of 12+ years right beside me , my Fatima. My best friend, my sister, my literal soulmate. She didn’t just support me, she poured herself into this dream with me. From helping me choose my hairstyle, to doing my makeup, planning every little detail and even choreographing my dance she was there through ALL of it. The amount of hours we put in together was unreal and there were so many moments when she believed in me even more than I believed in myself. I genuinely don’t know what I did to deserve a sister like her in this lifetime. Some friendships go so far beyond friendship that “best friend” doesn’t even feel like a big enough word anymore. She is family. She is home. She is a part of me. People always say, “Behind every successful man is a woman.” Well, behind me was my best friend, my sister, my biggest supporter Fatima🥹❤️ So yes, I may have been the one standing on that stage when they placed the crown on my head, but that crown belongs to her just as much as it belongs to me. Every step I took up there carried a little piece of everything we worked for together. This is simply an appreciation post for my sister, because man… I love her more than words could ever explain. A little appreciation post 🤍 This journey has already given me so much more than I ever expected, the opportunities it has opened up, the friendships I’ve made, confidence and especially the love and support I’ve received from strangers. It has been overwhelming in the most beautiful way. What makes this experience even more special is being able to represent my Goan heritage on an international stage while still being unapologetically me. My tattoos, my red hair, my individuality. I haven’t had to hide or change any part of myself to fit an idea of what a pageant girl is “supposed” to look like. I get to show up as my authentic self and that means more to me than I can put into words. Because for me, this is so much more than a competition. It’s personal. It’s an opportunity to raise awareness of the beautiful place my family comes from and to proudly show people where my roots lie. It’s also a chance to represent something I’ve always felt strongly about, you don’t have to choose between the different parts of your identity. People sometimes make it seem as though you have to be one or the other. British or Goan. How could I ever choose between the country that helped shape the woman I am today and the place where my roots, culture and heritage come from? Both are part of me. Having the opportunity to represent both sides of my identity this year has been such a privilege. Pageantry, to me, has never just been about how you look when you step onto a stage. It’s about what you stand for when you’re standing on it. It’s about confidence, individuality, culture, hard work and having the courage to take up space exactly as you are. And if my journey can encourage even one other girl to embrace every part of herself the parts that make her different, the parts that tell her story and the roots that made her who she is, then that means more to me than any crown ever could.
