On Friday evening, Mulier in Visu | Women in Sight came to life at St Stephen’s Walbrook.

When I first began planning the exhibition, I wanted to explore how women see themselves, how they see one another, and how they are inherently percieved by the world. I was interested in bringing together artists whose interpretations of that question were entirely different.

The result was an exhibition of six extraordinary female artists, spanning contemporary painting, fashion illustration and pageant fashion, displayed within one of Christopher Wren’s most remarkable churches in London.

St Stephen’s Walbrook has not hosted an exhibition since 2018, so for me to be entrusted with the space was an enormous privilege. Seeing works displayed around Henry Moore’s altar, beneath Wren’s extraordinary dome, was something I will remember for the rest of my life.

Thank you to each of the artists who trusted me with their work, to St Stephen’s for opening its doors to us, and to everyone who came to support the exhibition.

The artist line up:
