I am incredibly humbled and honored to serve on the FDEO (Florida Dance Educators Organization) Board as we continue the conversation around dance, dance and education.

Thank you to everyone who came out to participate, share, learn, and support our beautiful community of dance educators here in Florida during our Day of Development. A special thank-you to our Chair, Jermaine, and our new Board President, Ellie, for an outstanding weekend of dance education, including the inspiring panel discussion, “From Modern to Contemporary: Sustaining the Legacy.”

Here’s to continuing the work, inspiring the next generation, and building lasting legacies through dance! 💙✨ by @fdeodance

Kinda chic to keep learning. ✨

Kinda chic to know your Graham, Limón, Taylor, Cunningham, and Dunham.

Kinda chic to take class when you’re the teacher.

Kinda chic to invest in yourself so you can invest in your students.

And very kinda chic to attend FDEO’s 2026 Day of Development. 💃

Join Florida’s community of dance artists and educators for SUSTAINING THE LEGACIES:

• Graham Technique with Dr. Suzanne Salapa
• Limón Technique with Dr. Daniel Lewis
• Taylor Style with Francie Huber
• Cunningham Technique with Ellie Potts Barrett
• Dunham inspired Technique with John Parks

The day also includes lunch, networking, and a panel discussion, “Modern to Contemporary: Sustaining the Legacy,” moderated by Jermaine Thornton.
