Last week in New York, we brought together an incredible group of corporate leaders, researchers, and changemakers for Building a Pro-Human Corporate Culture, hosted by the Foundation for Social Connection (F4SC) in partnership with the Human Change Foundation during UN General Assembly Week. đŸ€

Together, we explored a timely question: What would it look like to intentionally cultivate a pro-human corporate culture — one that embraces the real opportunities of new technology while keeping human flourishing at the center?

Topics covered included meaningful relationships at work and supporting working parents and families, building trust around AI and creating workplaces where people can thrive.

Thank you to everyone who joined us and contributed to such an important conversation. We’re excited to keep building toward a more connected, human-centered future of work. by @fdn4socialconnection

You’ve looked up your county’s data. Now what? đŸ€

Social connection work goes further with partners. The Action Guide’s partnership mapping tool helps you figure out who in your community to bring in and how each of them can help.

Think libraries, schools, local businesses, community groups, public officials, and the residents you’re working with.

Start with the people you already know and build from there.

The overwhelming majority of conversations about loneliness focus on the individual. But the drivers of disconnection are structural, they live in how our communities are built, resourced, and connected to one another.

Which means an individual-level fix can’t solve a community-level problem. That gap is exactly why we built the Action Guide, a process for communities to build connection together.

What’s one structural barrier to connection in your community? 👇

What does social connection look like in your community? 📊

Building stronger, more connected communities starts with understanding where we are.

Our Data Dashboard provides a county-level look at the state of social connection, helping local leaders identify both community strengths and opportunities for action. And when paired with lived experience, data can help turn “We should do something” into “Here’s what our community needs and how we can respond.”

Three years ago, we created the Action Guide to help communities take that next step.

Last month, our own Rakeea joined the “Building Social Connection in Our Neighborhoods” panel at Fabrik’s social wellness event in New York, in front of 120 attendees.

We look after our physical health at the gym and our mental health through therapy, but social health, the third pillar of wellness, too often goes overlooked. That’s the gap Fabrik and this panel set out to close.

Rakeea shared how local leaders can use our Action Guide to build connection right where they live: identifying a neighborhood’s existing assets, using data to guide decisions, mapping partnerships, and hosting listening sessions that reach residents in deeper ways.

Thank you to Fabrik and everyone who joined the conversation. The Action Guide is free to explore — link in bio. by @fdn4socialconnection

Two years ago, this urban farm didn’t exist. đŸŒ±

Last week, it was full of neighbors figuring out how to make East New York even more connected.

We joined The Opportunity Hub one of our Action Guide cohorts in New York State for a Community Listening Session at their farm. This place already lives the mission: kids learning about food justice in the Learning Garden, older adults gathering every week for Garden Club, and a Thursday Farm Stand sharing fresh produce with the whole neighborhood. đŸ„Ź

This is what building connection actually looks like: local, specific, and led by the people who live there. From an empty lot to a farm growing food and community in two years. 💚

🎉 Today, we’re excited to celebrate one year since launching the Foundation for Social Connection’s Ambassador Program!

When we launched in July 2025, we set out to build a network of people committed to elevating social connection as a national priority and turning evidence into action. One year later, that vision has grown into an extraordinary community of 113 ambassadors across more than 80 cities — each bringing their own experiences, expertise, and passion to this movement.

Throughout this first year, our ambassadors have shown what it means to advance social connection in every sector and every community. They have launched coalitions, developed community programs, shared research and ideas, strengthened workplaces and neighborhoods, and sparked conversations that help people recognize the importance of connection in their everyday lives.

Beyond their individual efforts, ambassadors have contributed to a community rooted in collaboration — sharing resources, celebrating one another’s work, and helping expand the reach and impact of the social connection movement.

To celebrate this milestone, we invite you to explore our Ambassador Yearbook, featuring the incredible individuals who have shaped this first year of the program. Link in bio! by @fdn4socialconnection

📣In case you missed it on LinkedIn

The most complex social challenges cannot be addressed by any one entity alone. Meaningful progress depends on partnerships that bring together diverse perspectives, resources, and expertise in pursuit of a shared goal.

In last week's #GlobalLonelinessAwarenessWeek conversation, our Ambassadors Haley Ingersoll and Karina Duffy share lessons from building coalitions and cross-sector partnerships that advance connection and belonging. Their experiences highlight how collaboration can drive sustained, measurable impact and create the conditions for lasting change.

In today’s society where the presence of third places is steadily declining, the importance of designing for connection is critical. Strengthening social infrastructure begins with creating the conditions for people to connect.

Strong communities are built when people have places to gather, opportunities to engage, and systems that support meaningful human connection.

In this #GlobalLonelinessAwarenessWeek conversation, our Ambassadors Cynthia Cushing and Michael Kirsch share how they are investing in and advocating for programs, policies, and physical spaces that bring people together and foster connection. by @fdn4socialconnection
