Jean Valjean and this show was the reason for me wanting to pursue this as a career. It moves me like no other role (so far). I think this is one of the hardest roles for tenors in musical theatre. And I got to do it. In Italy. What?! I feel so honored to tell this story of redemption, love, and forgiveness. I try to live that in life as much as possible. I'm very grateful to have been able to do this dream of a role. Very happy to have done it with every single person on that stage and off. Castmates and direcrors were extremely kind and beyond talented. Here's me singing my favorite song #bringhimhome in a rehearsal and in our closing show. Take a look. Or don't. Whatever you want. I'm very proud of it :)

Monday night was a beautiful wild dream. I was asked to sing and fill in for somebody who got sick for the @latinemtlab last minute. It was nerve-wracking, and I was completely honored to be in a lineup with so many incredible latiné artists that I look up to. My piece was by @christiandegrecardenas : "Just Dark" and it has everything a singer/actor could ask for! At 16 pgs, it has a journey, huge interval jumps, a large range, high Cs, and dark humor w/ serious questions. Many thanks to @ryanmoralesgreen and TODOS EN LMT Lab, Christian, and the insanely talented band led by @andreasguime - he also music directed this benefit! Tamo junto!!!!

What made this night even more special was my wife and sister being there. Molly, you are my tudo. And I can't do any of this without you. Thank you for everything. The sacrifice, the support, being my coach, and your love. You do so much that nobody knows or sees. I strive to make you happy and proud, meu amor. Rozinha, you flew for these two days to watch me on my off broadway show and got to see this concert, too!!! Favorite sister!!! Thank you for always encouraging me, and you're on my foot!!

Meeting the host of the benefit: @robinofjesus was another dream. I've followed Robin's career since In the Heights. You made it feel like this profession is possible for somebody like me. I tried not to #fangirl, but idk. I blacked out, hahaha!! Thank you for your kindness and motivating words! Can't tell you how much they meant.

This night was emotional. I was a puddle no less than 5 times. It is very rare that a room of Latiné people get together for a big beautiful benefit to raise money to fund new #latineworks. This work is important. This work is necessary. By the end of the night, this benefit raised over $115,000!!! Beautiful generosity. This night meant everything of what I want as an artist. And I felt like I belonged there. The fire, the passion, the love. The Latin nature.

This benefit was kicked off by the brilliance of @carlosbauzys and Kim Bixler: "Barba: Brazilian Body Percussion Musical". I loved being a part of that.

This show was such a joy to be apart of. These people were sensational. Helped me on AND off the stage. I have made some family right from the 80s! This was a dream come true. Thank you @spandexmusical for doing this. Thank you to @tiffany_tunes for making me feel like a rock star and for how you lead us all with presence, poise, and love.

0The most special thanks you goes to my wife @mollybombonato for making this happen and being super mama while I was away. I know it was not easy. You did it with love and grace. Te amo muito. Thank you, amor.

Edit***One more special shoutout- @josieveggian, you made this show happen for ALL of us!! I could not have done this without you. My friends, Josie was the head of wardrobe and took care of the ENTIRE cast. This was definitely the most costume changes I've ever had- 18 🤣. I could NOT have done this without you, Josie. Thank you thank you thank you. Wish we would have gotten a picture!!

First day of school back! I'm in my feels. I am the emotional one in my relationship lol! And I have recently come to terms with that hahaha. I wanted to send all parents and caretakers love and support! Feel what you feel! You. Are. Doing. A. Great. Job. Don't let a day go by without knowing that. Parenting is tough. It's a beautiful, incredible thing that also happens to be the most exhausting thing.

Super excited to be in week two of rehearsals for this fun piece that is full of heart and soul and....#spandex . @spandexmusical will be #offbroadway September 17th thru the 27th at @theasylumnyc. The amazing @tiffany_tunes will be leading the cast! Come have fun with us! The music is amazing!! Honored to be here :). I would not be able to do this without my love, @mollybombonato, and my mother in law @kellybemerson and sister @itskatieemerson. Thank you for all your help with our amazing kids that we all love!!! I am very lucky to have this family. We have two incredible little kids. So the answer about sleep- no, we aren't getting any of that lol. Coffee runs through our veins. Leaps hit hard. Nights are long. But we power through. And we are very blessed. I'm very lucky to be doing this with my incredible wife :).

This has been making me laugh. Nobody told me how many weird things you pull from life to teach your kids. Things just pop up. My son is into sounds, now. Anything weird, different, or any different character voice makes him laugh. And making him laugh is my favorite thing in the world. This is the age range of millennial that I am. The girl, girl, girl (that sounds like doing doi doi) sound was done by everyone in high school lol. Also, shout out to #clipse. #iykyk. That beat was everywhere- everyone would do that on chairs, desks, trash cans and lunch tables with trays lol.
Don't worry, I'll teach him that beat soon enough.
