I am a supernova of ache and anguish.

Chaos saturates me.
They burst into screams as I bleed,
their echoes shaking me.

Yet I am f r i g i d,
winters nested beneath my skin,
feet heavy,
ankles moored to dry murk.

My muscles slacken;
torpor flows with every heartbeat.

I swim in a viscous sea...

not even planets colliding
could awaken me.

Memories walk slower
in September light.

They glisten in every drizzle,
landing on my hair
and in my thoughts,
a tender caress
against shadows
as they slip through.

Rain-soaked,
I saunter
with every falling leaf.
I trace their contours
with my fingertips,
etching moments
through sweat on my skin.

I press my feet into wet sand,
carving footprints,
tales, and tears...

that sunrise itself
will never forget.

It brushes my forehead
in broken notes,
breath cold as it departs.

I gather falling leaves
and fragments of skin.
They dissolve into dust
as they settle
into silence.

My fists unfurl,
pulse slowing
with the breeze.

I levitate...

Each vowel

thunder clawing at the edges.

Petrichor clings to the seams,
its scent lingering

My fingers fail to find the chapter
where sunrise stretches its light
into me.

The plot is gray.
I sip the bittersweet grief...

Sigh 🌙✨️

Night fell upon my chest,
its weight pressing heavily,
tightening my breath.

I told the moon
of the thick, dusky air,
how it pervades,
piercing through my skin,
how my blood
runs just as cold,
emptied of the sun's exhale.

I lifted lackluster eyes to the stars,
luminous, ethereal --
murmuring of constellations
asleep in my bones.

I sighed in the depths of darkness...

and my own
l i g h t
unfolds.
