Dr. Hussam Abu Safiya has been one of the most prominent voices of Gaza’s decimated healthcare sector and today marks his 500th day in arbitrary detentions. He is one of over 4,500 Palestinians that are held without charge or trial either under administrative detention or based on the Unlawful Combatants’ Law which violates international law. We stand together in solidarity with Dr. Abu Safiya and all Palestinian health workers who continue to endure the horrors of genocide and Israel’s targeting of health workers. Call your Congressmember today and tell them it’s time to stand against injustice and call on Israel to #FreeDrHussamAbuSafiya and all other arbitrarily detained Palestinians.

IUCC was thrilled to have a table at the @lgbtqcenteroc's Youth Convening yesterday!

God’s love knows no boundaries. We believe that sexuality and identity are sacred gifts from our Creator, and that loving, responsible relationships are expressions of God’s grace in the world. In a culture where many still assume Christianity rejects LGBTQ+ people, our church is committed to sharing a different message—one rooted in the radical welcome of Jesus.

As an Open and Affirming congregation of the United Church of Christ, we proclaim a simple but powerful truth: God’s love includes you exactly as you know yourself to be. All are welcomed, all are celebrated, and all are invited to grow in faith together, serving the world to be a more compassionate place. taken in Saddleback High School by @felicitynf1

As progressive Christians, we at IUCC stand with the marginalized and work for a world shaped by compassion, dignity, and hope—which is why we were at the No Kings rally! We’re proud to be a church that boldly stands for LGBTQ justice, immigrant justice, climate justice, economic justice, just peace, and so much more. It’s what Jesus would do! taken in Irvine Civic Center by @felicitynf1

Today’s banner drop in Irvine. It wasn’t our favorite. 😕. A few locals stopped by to talk about maybe sharing this spot. Problem is they don’t care for Palestine. 😭. Why can’t yall see how racist that is?! Just as racist as ICE!? Come on man, connect the dots. And how can ANYONE be ok with killing children? Whew. But anyway, we did get 2 deliveries of whistle kits to protect our community from 🧊Thank you ‼️. Stop by our next drop in Fullerton and get one. We have them in Arabic, Spanish, and English. We are going to start the Irvine banner drop a bit earlier so the new flier has the updated times. #freepalestine🇵🇸 #ocbannerdrop4pali #abolishice #orangecounty by @felicitynf1

Sick of Trump, Sick of ICE!

CALL OUT SICK July 1 in solidarity with our immigrant neighbors

On July 1, don’t go to work and:
- Support immigrant street vendors and small businesses
- Go to a march, community event or meet-up
- Donate to an organization taking action or providing emergency relief for immigrant families
- Join or form an immigrant defense committee in your area
- Post messages and videos explaining why you’re participating
- AND MORE! JULY 1 is a DAY TO DO SOMETHING. No business as usual.

We must all unite, and not let immigrant workers be terrorized and isolated. This is not just an immigrant thing — everyone with citizenship has a duty to stand up!
