😦😦😦 Let me exaggerate small but... WHAT DID I JUST READ?? 😂😂😭
So all this can happen in a church?? I honestly thought we just go, fellowship peacefully, say the closing prayer and head home. Meanwhile, @femikayode_author said, “Not today!” 😂😭
Please tell me this is an extreme example of church finances because there’s no wayyyy 😭😂
I couldn’t get a hardcopy, but I thoroughly enjoyed this one. Lara? Somebody should hold me before I knock her through the pages 😭😂 Such a rat!
Big respect for Folasade ✌🏾❤️ Chika? Loved him☺️ Taiwo? Solid 😌 Abubakar? 😂😂 What a character!
This book had me shocked, entertained, annoyed and laughing all at once. Definitely a must-read! ⭐⭐⭐⭐ @bloomsburypublishing by @femikayode_author

THE NIGHT AGENT S3/NETFLIX

This 3rd season delivered
In spades!
Every episode end with a gasp
A well earned twist
3 dimensional characters
The adrenaline rush of the first season
Waned in the second
And came back with a vengeance
(Literally)
In this season.
Yep, there’s some moralizing
And of course, the unending flashbacks
To over explain why our hero is like this
But all in all, I could forgive it
Because in the present
The plot unfolded in rapid bursts
Plausible in more places than not
With action sequences that are big screen worthy.
Binge worthy indeed.
And Lawd, I binged!
Now I pay the price at work.
Be warned. by @femikayode_author

This season 4
Was the best for me.
The stakes were high
The relationships human
The plot was masterful
The dialogue on point
Every twist well earned.
And the performances superb.
Michael Connelly is a master
But David E Kelly raises the bar
10 hours well spent
And as writer,
I emerged,
Inspired, elevated and of course,
Can’t wait for more. by @femikayode_author

It’s not a masterpiece
Nor does it claim to be one
But, I enjoyed it
For its simplicity
The cheesiness (oh some cringe worthy lines)
The feel good factor
And the wholesomeness
That’s been missing in the world today
That’s what movies are for…
90 minutes of escape,
Coming together
In the beautiful package of
Black love,
Rendered with love.

P.s Kelly Rowland can act. And methinks she’s going to get better at this. Romantic comedy is definitely her forte. by @femikayode_author

Truly an extraordinary piece of work! And indeed, what a life! What a beautiful family. Humane, powerful, honest, dignified and most of all, beautiful in every way. I loved watching …no, I loved experiencing this movie. by @femikayode_author

Blessings to the people RavenBooks for publishing these books.

Just so you know, Femi Kayode is one of those writers that capture Nigeria’s situations so honestly.I highly recommend his both of his books.

07.07.2025. At quarter to midnight, I typed two words that broke me open. "The end."
Relief crashed through me like a fever breaking, leaving me crying in that strange space of rebirth. I felt like a fetus unfurling, learning how to stretch, move, breathe again. This manuscript had demanded the excavation of self, the leveling of ego, the melting away of past glories. It had taken almost two years of self-doubt and the lessening of my self-worth to bring me to this point. It is not melodrama to admit that this process almost broke me.
In fact, it did.
I think writing this first draft was me bending down to pick up pieces of myself and stitch something of me together with whatever I could find: the love and support of family, of friends who won't let go, of tutors who still believed. Whatever I could find, I used to build this version of myself. Cracked. Not yet whole but coming together. So even as I typed those words, ‘The end’, I knew the truth. It's really a beginning.
My body still wakes at the usual time, trained for the keyboard's call. But now the blank screen holds a different promise. Where once it mocked my emptiness, now it waits for something else: the courage to return, to reshape, to dig deeper.
I haven't started rewriting yet. The notes are yet to come but my brain already anticipates change. Lots of changes. I'm standing at the threshold, gathering strength. This pause feels sacred. A breath between what was and what will be. The first draft demanded I pour myself onto pages. Now comes the harder task: looking at what I've spilled and deciding what stays, what goes, what transforms.
Much like life. No. Living.
Each necessary ending is the beginning of another phase. Each chapter crafted better than the last time you dared to traverse that path. Each step, just a bit more sure. The next detour, ever so slightly better planned. You've been here before. You'll come again. Each time, a more seasoned traveller than the first time.
This morning, I stare at those two words. ‘The end.’ and deliberately scroll up. To the beginning. The cover page. Which ironically, is the last thing most writers type. Not 'the end' but really the beginning. by @femikayode_author
