When you see a gap this big, you have two choices.

Wait for someone else to fix it. Or build the fix yourself.

We chose to build.

DC. August 2026.

#FEMMEArtFair by @femmeartfair

100+ WOMEN artists. Thousands of you. One room that proved the math wrong.

FEMME Year 1. Done.

This week we watched something shift. Women artists standing in front of their work — not waiting for a museum to hang it, not waiting for a gallery to call back, not waiting for permission. Collectors writing checks. Conversations turning into commissions. Art finding its way home.

This is what it looks like when the room is finally built for you.

To every artist who trusted us with your work — you are the reason FEMME exists. To every person who walked through those doors, stood in front of a piece, and said yes — you closed the gap a little more today. That matters. That’s the point.

To our partners who believed before the walls went up:

Painted by women. Inspired by change. A reminder that representation matters.

Made possible by @weareedens and @unionmarketdc.

Project managed by @studiousan + painted in partnership with @maggieoneillco @trapxbob @niaketurah @iamchelsea_art @boschpit_
