Art can move people! (In more ways than one.)

We closed out @femmeartfair the way we started it — in community. We gathered in front of the #foreverfearless statues for a yoga practice led by @cpyoga.fitness in collaboration with @voteforyourdaughter.

Yoga is a practice of intention. So is voting with our daughters’ futures in mind.

We gathered. We moved. We explored the incredible work at FEMME.

What does it look like when girls build something together? This.

Aspen Spark, Our Daughters’ Future Fund, and Annie Broderick created a workshop where young women wouldn’t just see art, they’d make it. Girls Inc. DC girls braided, wrote, and wove their own words into the piece, reflecting their voices: “Be you.” “Be true to you.” “Find your voice.” “You are smart.”

As our partners at Girls Inc. DC put it: “Creativity is a powerful form of leadership. When girls are encouraged to express themselves through art, they build confidence, strengthen their voices, and imagine new possibilities for themselves and their communities.”

Their sculpture, created with artist Annie Broderick, who dedicated so much of her time to build it alongside them, joins Forever Fearless—Maggie O’Neill’s collection of sculptures that gives young girls everywhere a voice.

A last-minute decision that turned into one of the best Sundays. ✨🎨

I was lucky enough to snag last-minute tickets to FEMME Art Fair at @dc.thesquare and honestly, I couldn’t have made a better decision. Thank you to @femmeartfair and @ourdaughtersfutures for bringing such a beautifully curated celebration of art, culture, and creativity to Washington, D.C., featuring the work of 100+ women artists.

Walking through the fair and experiencing so many unique perspectives, stories, and creative expressions in one space was truly inspiring. There was something so special about seeing women not only represented, but intentionally centered, celebrated, and given a platform to share their work.

From the art to the atmosphere, FEMME was such a beautiful way to spend a Sunday — and a reminder that sometimes the best experiences are the ones you decide to say yes to at the last minute. 🤍

100+ WOMEN artists. Thousands of you. One room that proved the math wrong.

FEMME Year 1. Done.

This week we watched something shift. Women artists standing in front of their work — not waiting for a museum to hang it, not waiting for a gallery to call back, not waiting for permission. Collectors writing checks. Conversations turning into commissions. Art finding its way home.

This is what it looks like when the room is finally built for you.

To every artist who trusted us with your work — you are the reason FEMME exists. To every person who walked through those doors, stood in front of a piece, and said yes — you closed the gap a little more today. That matters. That’s the point.

I went here last night and I definitely recommend it to you guys for the weekend 🩶

I had such a good time at the FEMME Art Fair. There are 100+ women artists, so many unique pieces, artwork available for purchase, cocktails, and live DJ sets.

What I loved most was how different everything felt from room to room. There were so many pieces that made me stop and really look, and I left feeling like it was such a fun way to spend the evening.

If you’re in DC this weekend, definitely go support, explore the art, grab a drink, and enjoy it for yourself. 💕
