October 3rd, Fallin’ On Fremont Outdoor Featival at Makin’ Groceries @landing_paper_planes

I’m so honored to have co-hosted the event, share the stage with so many rad poets and musicians, to vend art ( @feralyearningcreations ), and even share spoken word poetry. Gods, I’ve missed the stage. So grateful that my inner fire has sparked again ❤️‍🔥

Song: ‘Punchline’ by KiNG MALA @kingmalamusic
Drag performance by Feral Faucett @feral.faucett

I think I’ve also figured out the next song is that I will do drag to, and an idea for a drag show theme! ✨

What day was it? October 3rd 😉
I had the honor of being a co-host at Portland’s Makin’ Groceries’s (first ever!) outdoor festival, Fallin’ On Fremont! This is just one out of the four drag performances I did that day. I also got to share some spoken word poetry while we waited for a musician to come to the stage, and I also vended my art! (With my momma’s help, since I was on stage a lot) @feralyearningcreations

Why ‘Make Love To Myself’ by @laurenruthward ? I will forever be my primary partner. I have held and loved myself through my deepest waters and storms, my highest highs, and I vow to never abandon myself, no matter the weather or storm. To keep growing. To keep loving. That’s how I know love is real — but I’m also content forever being mine. I am the safest partner I’ve ever had. And gods… it’s also a love letter to myself to not tolerate less than I deserve (and a big fuck you to the folks who have violated my consent)
🎶I am not your honey🎶

Hehe, love the accidental auto-play at the end of the video of ‘Are They Actually Attractive?’ by @boyjrofficial
If anyone filmed clips of that performance, please let me know!

🎥 by my lovely co-host, Desi Casanova @lil_casanova_ hope you had a phenomenal birthday yesterday 🫶🏻

Portland!! Go support your only local pay-what-you-can restaurant! Their Cajun food is such a treat. They’ve kept me fed when I have no money, whether I’m housed or homeless. They’re one of the best hidden gems in town, and they deserve to rise with support from this city 💖 thank you for everything you do @landing_paper_planes

Today/tonight (Oct 3rd) I was a co-host for @landing_paper_planes Makin’ Groceries’s: (first ever!) Fallin’ On Fremont Outdoor Festival in Portland, OR. I also tabled art as @feralyearningcreations Feral Yearning Craations, and did FOUR drag numbers as one of Portland’s new drag creatures! What a godsdamn blessing it is to be back up on a stage and to share joy with community, artists, and musicians! Can’t wait to see what more we do together, Portland!
📸 🎥 filmed by my momma 🫶🏻

This is just one out of the four drag numbers that I did throughout the day — this one is a drag performance to the song ‘Madison’ by Orla Gartland @orlagartland with a special guest from the audience to be ‘Madison’ for the bit 😉 thank you @pxssum_gxth for coming on stage! Can’t wait to see all the photos you got of the event too!! (Portland babes…. If you need an event photographer, seriously… message my friend!! They’re amazing)

Anybody remember how loud I screamed in joy as one of our vendors ran up right at the end (not on video) and threw $1 bills all over me? 🤭

More videos and photos to come soon!

Jade and Paul already gave me the go ahead to perform more drag or even host a drag brunch! If any drag artists wanna collab to make that happen, lmk ❤️‍🔥👀

Hihihiiii insta world! I’ll be helping to host an event for the first time ever this October 3rd at Makin’ Groceries’s Fallin’ On Fremont Outdoor Festival!

I’ll be vending art prints as Feral Yearning Creations @feralyearningcreations my momma will even be visiting to help me table art!
I’ll be debuting in full drag (aka, I’ll be wearing makeup this time) as Feral Faucett 🐺🚰💦 @feral.faucett
AND!!
I’ll be one of your hosts for the event, helping to introduce others to the stage.

Makin’ Groceries is by far one of the best non-profits I know of compared to the performative non-profits across the city (and nation). I know they’d run things as just mutual aid if they could, and that currently, they’re only a non-profit out of financial necessity. (They’re very open about this if you ever want to talk about it with them).

Jade and Paul have helped to keep me fed while homeless, and even still, when I can’t afford to pay for a meal and am out of food (we all know food stamps don’t last the whole month).

Let’s help this Portland gem grow and rise! They deserve so much support for all they do, but often, they’re struggling to pay for rent while keeping your Portland neighbors fed nonetheless. Let’s put more donation energy into places like this and toward mutual aid, rather than performative non-profits that have plenty of money, but pick and choose who’s worthy of support. If they have enough monthly donors, they wouldn’t need to be posting for financial mutual aid support as much. If you know anyone in need of a meal, please tell them about Makin’ Groceries! Hours are listed in the bio for @landing_paper_planes

Come out and support local vendors, artists, musicians, and celebrate Makin’ Groceries and all that they do for the community!
