The unmistakable lines of the 1983 offering from Van Diemen, the RF83 aka the Vanwall, or the Camel depending on your view…!

A classic Silverstone GP circuit shot from Rich Craner’s wonderful archive.

This image is from a round of the 1985 Townsend Thoresen RAC Championship
and shows Johnny Herbert in the works Quest 85FF trying to break away from the Van Diemen hordes led by Bertrand Gachot with Jonathan Bancroft, Mark Blundell, Perry McCarthy, Philippe Favre and Jeremy Packer all in the tow.

Three of the fastest guys in the 1990 LuK RAC Championship are in shot here at Oulton Park.

Michael Vergers’ works Duckhams Van Diemen RF90 is closest to the camera, along with legendary spanner twirler Malcolm “Puddy” Pullen.
Alongside is the Fulmar Reynard 90FF of Gareth Rees with his very sadly missed team mate Fionn Murray on row two.

Chassis variety here with Rowan Dewhurst (Quest 86FF), the LMF Reynard 86FF of Tomas Mezera and John Village’s Van Diemen RF86 all battling away through Woodcote.

David Coulthard in a contemplative moment at Cadwell Park during a rare failure in his stunning debut year in car racing.
His David Leslie Racing run, Eternit Building Supplies backed Van Diemen RF89 was barely off the rostrum all season, and both the Dunlop Autosport Star of Tomorrow and P+O Ferries Junior Championships were claimed, after a season long struggle with Kelvin Burt.
