Equipping communities with financial literacy, collective investment strategies, & civic empowerment.

When we're not educating communities on political literacy, we do break bread with everyone as we're a cooperative. Our goal is to ensure that everyone can eat. Here's some recent photos of things behind the scenes. Some of our Philly Team enjoyed a dinner, a gala and even @iamsagepapi had a birthday party in the office. Our mission is each other and we can't wait to see what's next, together. #thinkcooperative #photography #philadelphia taken in Pennsylvania by @fficoop

The time to care was actually yesterday. Fair Future Initiative is on a mission to empower Pennsylvanians and educate them on the importance of their voice. We don't believe in small elections, we have the hard conversations on the street, and we believe in educating communities on the importance of standing up for your right to a free a fair election. We don't care if you check your registration with us or someone else, just check your registration and make sure it's up to date. We included a link in our bio to make it easy. taken in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania by @fficoop

Food for thought: we started this journey of spreading political and financial education in January. We put boots on the ground in two cities in July. We hear the hopelessness in the community. The people in charge are banking on that hopelessness to be the thing that discourages people from voting. When we hosted our launch party in June, we filled a rooftop full of people who are doing the work because they feel deeply about it. We want the next generation to have more than the last. We want to help people connect the dots between the government and affordability. We understand that sometimes stopping to educate yourself on the government around you feels like a luxury, but we cannot let that be the thing that disenfranchises us more.

This is for the people who feel that they have so much on their plate that they don't have time to educate themselves on policy. We're here to help make it a little more digestible especially when there's so much at stake. We're here to educate you on the importance of registering, even if it's not with us. Why is political education in our mission statement? It's because our voices matter is the minimum. Once upon a time, not so long ago so many of us didn't have a seat at the table let alone a voice. As a reminder to not go back to the days where so many votes were disenfranchised, we strive to educate our communities. Voting is at the root of so many things in our lives that we take for granted. Tax rates to garbage fees, voting or the absence of it, will impact you. by @fficoop

Meet cofounder, Wesley Gadsden.

Wesley has over two decades specialized in strategic planning, statewide campaigns, and building networks that empower underrepresented communities. His life work emphasizes social, racial, and economic equity, and strategies that reinvest in communities of color and promote shared prosperity.

He enjoys the beach, camping, skiing and working towards catching waves surfing.

He loves to host karaoke, and DJ. Occasionally you'll catch him as a ringmaster at a circus, on the mic at a monster truck show or hosting other extreme sports event (Pogo). You'll find Wesley in either Pittsburgh or Philly. Stay tuned for intros to the rest of the team. We're super excited to be doing the work. taken in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania by @fficoop
