Growing up my mom used to always say, "don't feed the animals." It's a metaphor for only feeding the energy that you want to grow. There's already so much negative energy into the universe so I'm not leaning into that. I've had 4 careers, lived in 3 cities, I had mediation training, and I know it's not my job to fix everyone's energy. Sometimes, the best way to make someone even more mad is to not feed into their misery. Woke up today to a meeting. We talked about hiring more Pittsburgh folks for Fair Future Initiative. Then I went to LegitFit LLC free Tai Chi class and boy I wasn't blessed with coordination. Next up, is writing, planning the Braddock September Art Crawl and doing my hair. Excited that the art crawl keeps getting bigger and people keep asking to be involved. That's on putting egos aside and building community. I do this for the love, not the money because there's no money involved. Let's feed the energy that you want to consume and not the energy that's thrown at you. - Justdae ✌🏿 🌎 ❤️

I deeply believe in being the change that I want to see in the world. In January, me and four of my friends started a company with a mission of financial and political literacy in BIPOC communities, and Fair Future Initiative Inc was born. In April, I got laid off. A few months later, the company really left the group chat, and we got our first contract. We're paying canvassers across PA to educate folks on the importance of voting. My job is quality control. I help tell stories through the data we collect. I get to use my skills in storytelling and analytics. Our Pittsburgh Team is looking for a few more folks. If you know anyone looking for a part-time gig check out the link in my bio to apply. Also, we're just getting started. I love having friends who don't just complain, but pivot and do it. #412fresh #inspiration
