Last night I received my first award.

Not for something easy. Not for something I ever asked for.

This came from pain. From loss. From a story that never should’ve been written the way it was.

But I stand here turning that pain into purpose.

Every tear, every sleepless night, every moment of anger—I carried it, and I’m still carrying it. But now it’s building something bigger than me.

This isn’t just an award.
This is for my father.
This is for justice.
This is for every voice that’s been ignored.

I’m not done. Not even close. by @fgm_sanny

The amount of change I’m hoping for in the future can only be done if we have this hard sit downs & talks I can’t wait to show you guys how hard I’m fighting for justice not only for my dad but for everyone ❤️🤞🏾 by @fgm_sanny

Today was heavy, but powerful.

I had the opportunity to speak at a juvenile detention center with some young men who are fighting battles a lot of people will never understand. Some of them are coming home soon, and some are facing years in DOCS. Hearing their stories, answering their questions, and seeing the pain in their eyes was something I’ll never forget.

They asked me how I felt seeing the video of my father. They asked about the bills we got passed and the ones we’re still fighting for. I told them the truth — some days I’m strong, and some days I’m still hurting. But I also told them pain can either break you or build purpose inside of you.

Walking out of there, I realized something… I can’t save everybody. And that hurts. But if even one young person leaves that room believing their life still matters, then the conversation was worth it.

A lot of these kids don’t need judgment. They need guidance, hope, accountability, and somebody willing to see them as human beings instead of statistics.

Thank you to @kahlil_j_nelson & Face The Odds for allowing me to be part of something real today. Y’all are doing work that truly matters in the community.

This is bigger than me now. 🤍 by @fgm_sanny

I came to Puerto Rico to breathe.
The trial didn’t go how my heart needed it to, and some days the weight feels heavier than the suitcase I packed.

But even here, with the ocean reminding me how small my worries are compared to God’s plan, I’m learning something:
pain can pause you, but it doesn’t get to define you.

I’m carrying my dad with me in every step, every sunrise, every moment I choose not to give up.
This isn’t me running away — this is me healing, resetting, and coming back stronger. by @fgm_sanny
