An extended journey of lush soundscapes, minimal rollers and dub-tech treasures. Ficilio dives deep in his record bag to ease into the evening, warm up the sound system and get the crowd moving all through the night.

SATURDAY JULY 18

Rhythm presents the enigmatic John Beltran, AKA Placid Angles, to Toronto for a body soothing, dancefloor pleasure. Local favourite Ficilio rounds out the bill on warm up duties.

John Beltran is a DJ’s DJ. A seminal force out of Detroit, John has been producing a vast, genre-fluid yet disciplined catalogue since the 90s spanning techno, house, and balearic on his namesake, to heady IDM on his Placid Angles alias.

Releases like First Blue Sky and Ten Days of Blue established his own sub-genre of IDM and cemented his prowess in the underground.

This rare Toronto appearance is not one to be missed.

Tickets are up in the usual spot.

Outer-galactic and subterranean sounds will underpin the Bambi’s basement as IOU welcomes Helsinki based wizard @sans1bar for a rare appearance at our favourite cavern-tavern. Patrons must attempt to remain completely stationary while on the premises.

On warm up duty are local favourites @ficili0 - hot off the debut of new venture Off Logic - and IOU’s @rabzziii
