Working on Gogo’s Heist taught me one thing: UNITY.

Every department played an incredible role and went above and beyond in their part respectively, but these legends led their teams — camera and lighting — and when the chips were down, they fought tooth and nail with us and for us! Maybe their magic was that they’re @multichoicetalentfactory alumni 🤷🏿‍♂️ whatever the case maybe.

You can still catch the chaos, the drama and the sisterhood in GOGO’S HEIST on @dstvza CATCH UP until the 19th of November! by @fiddy_s

The Gogos stole the show!👏🎬💐

Simphiwe Ngcobo aka @fiddy_s, writer and director and our very own 2024 MTF alum, shares how he created these characters as a love letter to grandmothers: Funny, smart, and tough. Seeing the actors bring them to life made them even more dynamic and realer than he imagined.

If you missed the premiere of Gogos Heist, don’t sweat it, you can catch it now on DStv Catch Up, and see why everyone’s talking about these legendary Gogos.

Gogos Heist, coming soon! 🎬🍿

In the heart of Soweto, a legendary group of freedom fighters, now gogos, are back in action. When Zanele, the granddaughter of their late leader, is kidnapped by the ruthless crime boss Bra Skeem, the MK G4 Unit dusts off their old skills for one last mission.

Armed with wit, old-school spy tactics, and a few surprise weapons from their struggle days, these grandmothers prove that retirement doesn’t mean weakness. But as they race through Soweto, Bra Skeem’s paranoia, a hit TV show, and buried secrets threaten to turn their daring rescue upside down.

A fast-paced crime comedy packed with action, humor, and Kasi flavor, Gogo’s Heist proves you’re never too old to raise hell.

Premiering on Mzansi Bioskop, 26 October at 7PM, channel 164.
